REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES AND REQUIRED PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:&lt;br /&gt;

1. Engineering Project Management Completions involvement.&lt;br /&gt;
Coordinate Sikorsky Global Helicopter (SGH) departments with supporting documentation for System and Interior completions on the company's line of helicopters; as it relates to SGH Engineering. This will include overall review of the SGH completion engineering activity and ensuring that the engineering tasks (such as customer data requirements, shop support, certification issues, engineering reports) are being completed within the scheduled time frames. Fully understand the contract requirements between Sikorsky and SGH for all engineering requirements for product completion. Coordinate with SGH completion team, SGH Engineering team, outside vendors and the aircraft program managers during the completions process. Resolve interdepartmental issues proactively. Monitor and report engineering labor cost performance against project budgets. Prepare statements of work to support subcontracting of outside services and 3rd party equipment. Develop and support quoting activities for engineering requirements as it relates to production, completions, 3rd party engineering, and Helicopter Services Division (HSD) activities. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Coordinate the use of outside Engineering consultants.&lt;br /&gt;
Coordinate the use of outside engineering consultants for successful certification projects. Coordinate the project objectives with outside contractors and manage the performance of the contractor to project budgets and schedules. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3.Develop and maintain department procedures and policies.&lt;br /&gt;
Develop and recommend to the Manager of Engineering, new department policies and procedures. When approved, implement the procedures, as approved, in a timely manner.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4. Recommend new product business opportunities.&lt;br /&gt;
In the time frame assigned, perform analysis and present options with a recommended course of action to the Manager of Engineering for approval.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Program Management or equivalent degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience required. A strong knowledge of MS project, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word and the ability to manage multiple projects and people is required. Good interpersonal skills with an understanding of customer requirements and experience with managing production schedules required. Knowledge of aircraft completions, FAA certification procedures, production processes and engineering processes highly desired.&lt;br /&gt;

The Advanced Engineering Analysis Group (W-13) strives to provide our customers with timely and accurate answers to complex engineering problems by creatively combining cutting-edge numerical tools. Our customers include the nuclear weapons program, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense, among others. W-13 group expertise includes structural mechanics, structural dynamics, heat transfer, radiation transport, thermodynamics, hydrodynamics, probabilistic methods, mechanics of materials, and numerical analysis.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This position will be filled at either the R&amp;D Engineer 2 or 3 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.&lt;br /&gt;

R&amp;D Engineer 2      ($76,500 – $128,000)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

•	Presenting and defending analysis results, uncertainties, and error estimates at formal model validation peer reviews&lt;br /&gt;
•	Writing formal reports and delivering presentations that clearly and effectively communicate analysis conclusions and supporting information&lt;br /&gt;

R&amp;D Engineer 3      ($83,100 – $142,500)&lt;br /&gt;

In addition to the Job Requirements outlined above, qualification at the R&amp;D Engineer 3 level requires experience with:&lt;br /&gt;
•	Providing technical leadership to members of a team&lt;br /&gt;
•	Leading brainstorming sessions to determine best analysis approach.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Interfacing with customers.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Defining strategic plans with both team members and customers to meet long term needs to maintain systems.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Requirements:&lt;br /&gt;
•	Strong knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and practices.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Experience in thermal, dynamic, and/or structural analysis.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Demonstrated ability to contribute to the research, design, testing, analysis, verification, and validation of engineering and technology solutions in support of R&amp;D initiatives.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Demonstrated ability to provide timely analysis.&lt;br /&gt;
•	This position will require the ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance which normally requires US citizenship.&lt;br /&gt;

Experience with formal V&amp;V methods, statistical analysis (including design of experiments and sensitivity studies), and probabilistic analysis is also desired. Engineering experience gained through the DoD, aerospace industry, or the nuclear weapons complex is desired. Engineering analysis from structural hand calculations through systems level finite element multi-physics simulations, including signal processing.&lt;br /&gt;

REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES AND REQUIRED PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:&lt;br /&gt;

1. Engineering Project Management Completions involvement.&lt;br /&gt;
Coordinate Sikorsky Global Helicopter (SGH) departments with supporting documentation for System and Interior completions on the company's line of helicopters as it relates to SGH Engineering.  This will include overall review of the SGH completion engineering activity and ensuring that the engineering tasks (such as customer data requirements, shop support, certification issues, engineering reports) are being completed within the scheduled time frames.  Fully understand the contract requirements between Sikorsky and SGH for all engineering requirements for product completion.  Coordinate with SGH completion team, SGH Engineering team, outside vendors and the aircraft program managers during the completions process.  Resolve interdepartmental issues proactively.  Monitor and report engineering labor cost performance against project budgets.  Prepare statements of work to support subcontracting of outside services and 3rd party equipment.  Develop and support quoting activities for engineering requirements as it relates to production, completions, 3rd party engineering, and Helicopter Services Division (HSD) activities. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Coordinate the use of outside Engineering consultants.&lt;br /&gt;
Coordinate the use of outside engineering consultants for successful certification projects. Coordinate the project objectives with outside contractors and manage the performance of the contractor to project budgets and schedules. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3.Develop and maintain department procedures and policies.&lt;br /&gt;
Develop and recommend to the Manager of Engineering, new department policies and procedures.  When approved, implement the procedures, as approved, in a timely manner.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4. Recommend new product business opportunities.&lt;br /&gt;
In the time frame assigned, perform analysis and present options with a recommended course of action to the Manager of Engineering for approval.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Program Management or equivalent degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience required.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A strong knowledge of MS project, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word and the ability to manage multiple projects and people is required.  Good interpersonal skills with an understanding of customer requirements and experience with managing production schedules required. Coordinate Sikorsky Global Helicopter (SGH) departments with supporting documentation for System and Interior completions on the company's line of helicopters; as it relates to SGH Engineering.  This will include overall review of the SGH completion engineering activity and ensuring that the engineering tasks (such as customer data requirements, shop support, certification issues, engineering reports) are being completed within the scheduled time frames.  Fully understand the contract requirements between Sikorsky and SGH for all engineering requirements for product completion.  Coordinate with SGH completion team, SGH Engineering team, outside vendors and the aircraft program managers during the completions process.  Resolve interdepartmental issues proactively.  Monitor and report engineering labor cost performance against project budgets.  Prepare statements of work to support subcontracting of outside services and 3rd party equipment.  Develop and support quoting activities for engineering requirements as it relates to production, completions, 3rd party engineering, and Helicopter Services Division (HSD) activities. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Coordinate the use of outside Engineering consultants.&lt;br /&gt;
Coordinate the use of outside engineering consultants for successful certification projects. Coordinate the project objectives with outside contractors and manage the performance of the contractor to project budgets and schedules. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3.Develop and maintain department procedures and policies.&lt;br /&gt;
Develop and recommend to the Manager of Engineering, new department policies and procedures.  When approved, implement the procedures, as approved, in a timely manner.&lt;br /&gt;

4. Recommend new product business opportunities.&lt;br /&gt;
In the time frame assigned, perform analysis and present options with a recommended course of action to the Manager of Engineering for approval.&lt;br /&gt;

Acquisition Logistics Engineering (ALE) is expanding its Specialty Engineering activity and has opportunities for motivated people interested in applying analytical methods to improve the quality of complex systems and equipment.  Specialty engineering analyses, such as those in the areas of reliability, maintainability, testability, human factors, and system safety, are performed by ALE both as stand-alone projects and in support of broader efforts involving system level logistic and life-cycle-cost analysis.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
As a Specialty Engineer at ALE, you will perform Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) predictions, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), hazard analysis, maintainability analysis, human factors or other specialty analysis, and will prepare reports to document the results.  Products on which you may work involve ships, aircraft, ground transportation, and industrial processes.  Our approaches regularly focus on analysis performed during conceptual and detailed design phases to develop the best value solution for our customers.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Position Requirements: A degree in electrical, mechanical, aero or industrial engineering, or related technical discipline is required.  Strong written and verbal presentation skills are essential.  Must be capable of understanding and evaluating detailed electronic/mechanical equipment designs based on review of schematics, drawings, and specifications.  Must thrive in an aggressive environment involving multiple, simultaneous projects.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Desired Attributes: A background in reliability/maintainability, product support, system analysis, industrial analysis, product/process design activities, and/or system safety is desired.  Certified Reliability Engineer, Certified RCM Developer, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Airframe &amp; Powerplant Licensed Aircraft Mechanic or prior military acquisition program experience a plus.&lt;br /&gt;
