Essential Duties & Responsibilities

May supervise and train lower level engineering personnel on assigned projects ensuring adherence to established safety standards and regulations.

Reviews reports of lower level engineering personnel for accuracy of technical content, completeness and format.

Participates in new idea generation and development of concepts for new R&D projects and technologies.

Publishes technical papers, attends professional meetings and makes presentations

Education & Experience Requirements

PhD degree preferably in minerals processing or chemical engineering and

Experience and proficient in the area of flotation research.

Ability to conduct complex bench and pilot tests, perform technical calculations and research data.

Proven organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Requires excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Must be proficient in the use of the personal computer using company standard software.

Must be a team player and self motivated.

Advanced skills in developing computer models & simulations is preferred

� Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of applicable experience, OR
� PhD Degree in Chemical Engineering with 2+ years of applicable experience.
� Candidate must be knowledgeable of advanced engineering principles and practices to develop appropriate outputs.
� Must have working knowledge of National Codes and Standards.
� Must also have working knowledge of unit operations, heat transfer, fluid flow, reduction-oxidation chemical reactions.

� Under general supervision, may complete engineering assignments of moderate complexity of process engineering task.
