URS Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer III to be based in our Houston, TX location.

Level Specific Responsibilities:

� Under general supervision, may complete engineering assignments of moderate complexity of process engineering task.
� Intermediate level of understanding of process engineering.
� Understands and assists with the preparation of project scope.
� Familiar with business development concepts and methods and provides support to proposals.
� Familiar with codes, permits and company cornerstone applications.
� Understands the work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications that are needed for process engineering.
� Fully versed with the process of preparing and checking of process engineering calculations.
� Able to learn and use basic CAD sketching tools.
� Collects data and information regarding technical and economic factors relating to a specific study within the process engineering scope.
� Fully understands the use of requisitions and the role of materials management.
� Fully understands and reviews vendor documents.
� Collects data on manpower, man-hour and labor cost requirements to aid in evaluating the budget.
� Able to take the lead on estimating tasks and perform material take-offs.
� Exposure to basic planning and scheduling of process engineering tasks.
� Knowledge of project change control process and can identify potential change.
� Knowledge of equipment lists.
� Can assist in the integration of all project functional requirements into a complete project plan.
� Works to maintain positive working relationships with peer leaders.
� Builds productive relationships with organizations in and external to Engineering.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

� B. S. Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university
� 2+ years� professional experience in process engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

� Familiar with FEED and detailed engineering is preferred
� FE (EIT) certificate preferred

� Fully versed with and can check and review the work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within a specific discipline.

� Able to learn and use basic CAD sketching tools.
� Can oversee the review and checking of construction and vendor drawings.
� Fully versed in the collection and/or evaluation of data and information regarding technical and economic factors including physical, chemical, environmental, maintenance, operational, regulator, constructability, and/or schedule factors relating to a specific subject within a discipline.
� Understands the external factors that impact specific engineering problems.
� Fully understands the use of requisitions and the role of materials management.

� Fully understands and assists with the planning and scheduling of engineering tasks within a specific discipline.

Requirements

Qualifications:
� Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in Chemical Engineering or the sciences from a four year accredited college or university.
� 17+ years of professional experience in Process
� Oil and gas project , and/or gas plant experience
� Demonstrated supervisory experience supervising groups of process engineers in
� Emphasis on FEL/ FEED and detailed engineering projects.
� Fully versed with process simulation software such as HYSYS, PROMAX, ASPEN PLUS
� Background of mentoring less experienced engineers
� Strong previous experience in hydraulics and pressure relief analysis
� Process simulation and H&M Balances Equipment and Instrumentation Data Sheets PFD and P&ID development.
� Fully understands and assists with the planning and scheduling of process engineering tasks
and identifies potential problems
� Fully versed in the project change control changes.
� Strong client focus
� Demonstrated experience balancing resources on a number of simultaneous small projects with short schedules

Preferred Qualifications:
� PE License by exam ( or ability to obtain )
� Experience in onshore oil and gas production and gas fractionation plant facilities.
� Conceptual study, FEED and detailed engineering activities such as simulation, PFD, P&ID development
� Experience with oil and gas gathering including flowline gathering system simulation with analysis of well productivity and reservoir decline.
� Knowledge of oil/gas/water separation and gas/condensate separation, crude oil stabilization, gas compression, gas dehydration, gas sweetening and dewpoint control, gas fractionation plant, refrigeration, condensate stabilization.
� Project engineering management experience
� Experience with managing technologist interfaces
� EPC company experience
� Commissioning and Startup experience
