As a registered professional engineer, plans, supervises and manages major water projects.  This Engineer will develop and manage capital improvement projects for the Department’s drinking water system, including 3 treatment plants, 23 wells, 30 booster pump stations, as well as reservoirs, pipelines and valve vaults.  This work will involve planning, design and construction of civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and treatment process projects. Responsibilities include working with operations staff, City design staff, consultants and suppliers to develop project scopes, budgets, scheduling and phasing to interface with fiscal needs. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering equivalent and four years paid work experience performing civil engineering duties, including planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of infrastructure. Post-graduate engineering education may be substituted for up to one year of required experience.  Possession of a professional engineer’s license (PE) from the State of Utah.  Out of state applicants who possess a PE License must become a PE in the State of Utah within six months of employment.  Membership in the AWWA, or an equivalent professional organization. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Applicant should be able to lead, develop and support other team members, use computers, prepare and present complex reports in written and oral form, and effectively communicate with operations staff, consultants, contractors and the public.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.&lt;br /&gt;
