&lt;br /&gt;
SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER--WATERBLAST TOOLS&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;!--d--&gt;The position is responsible for the engineering design of new waterblast tools and accessories, as well as maintaining and improving current tool designs to enhance StoneAge’s product offerings. The Product Engineer is responsible for product design from conception through sustainment. The Sr. Product Engineer shall also serve to mentor more junior engineers and provide technical oversight as appropriate. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This position reports to the Director of Engineering.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Product Design:&lt;br /&gt;
•	Present new product ideas to Engineering team via the Engineering Meeting. Must have a collaborative nature.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Participate in the requirement development process for new products via end-user interface, and collaboration with the Business Development, Marketing and Engineering Teams. &lt;br /&gt;
•	Develop designs for new products that are reliable, cost effective, and easily manufactured.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Perform design analyses as appropriate (tolerance analysis, FEA, thermal, flow). &lt;br /&gt;
•	Generate and maintain engineering drawings from internal and external design criteria and in accordance with StoneAge drawing standards.  Assist in drawing and specification interpretation to maintain quality. &lt;br /&gt;
•	Estimate material/fabrication costs for new products and custom products – execute new product development to cost targets and communicate cost vs. performance conflicts early in the design.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Identify and communicate patentable technology during the creation of new products. &lt;br /&gt;
•	Prepare and facilitate product design reviews. Incorporate feedback into designs as permitted given product requirements.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Review product design and analyses of junior team members and provide technical advice and direction. &lt;br /&gt;
•	Lead design discussions and provide technical training within the weekly Engineering Meeting.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Work with QC to identify critical features and tolerances and ensure measurement capabilities.  &lt;br /&gt;
•	Work with Purchasing, Outside Vendors and Internal Machine Shop as prototype parts are fabricated to ensure designs are manufacturable and easily inspected.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Assist CAD Technician on design as needed.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Track and log engineering time as appropriate.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Assess design projects for obstacles and potential design issues/trades. Present these issues to the engineering team along with recommendations for resolution.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Follow the New Product Development Process. Communicate project status in real time (no surprises). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Product Test:&lt;br /&gt;
•	Assemble prototype products&lt;br /&gt;
•	Draft test plans and perform testing for evaluating the performance, safety and reliability of prototype designs.  &lt;br /&gt;
•	Develop standard test methods for product and material conformance.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Review and evaluate field-tested units and customer feedback on field tested units to improve product design. &lt;br /&gt;
 &lt;br /&gt;
Product Transition:&lt;br /&gt;
•	Support QC to disposition non-conforming parts related to the engineer’s product designs. &lt;br /&gt;
•	Coordinate with the New Products Team (Engineering, Purchasing, QC, Operations, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing) to ensure that new product designs transition smoothly into production.   &lt;br /&gt;
•	Work with Manufacturing Engineer on Part ID assignment for new products or updates with existing products.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Train end-users, Dealers or StoneAge staff on proper tool assembly, maintenance and operation. &lt;br /&gt;
•	Create ECN’s when engineering drawings are revised and work with Production Control for recording/ implementing any reworks required outside the ECN process.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Assist manufacturing in the building, testing, and training associated with new products. &lt;br /&gt;
•	Assist Repair Technician on returned tools and rental items for repair and warranty.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS&lt;br /&gt;
Required:&lt;br /&gt;
•	Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university. &lt;br /&gt;
•	5+ years of relevant mechanical design experience.&lt;br /&gt;
•	CAD proficiency (Solidworks is preferred).&lt;br /&gt;
•	Experience in design for manufacturing.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Experience in product research and development.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Hands-on mechanical or machining experience. &lt;br /&gt;
•	Working knowledge of MS Office software. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Sr. Product Engineer must possess at least one of the following skills:&lt;br /&gt;
•	Expertise in any of the following: metallurgy, seal type and design (i.e. mechanical face seal design).&lt;br /&gt;
•	Practical and/or product design experience for the waterblast industry.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Solidworks simulation proficiency (Structural Analysis, Motion and Flow). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
OTHER INFORMATION&lt;br /&gt;
•	Travel may be required.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Extended working hours may be needed at peak times or when short staffed.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Must be able to lift heavy loads using proper lifting techniques as outlined in the StoneAge Employee Handbook.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;

Ensures expedient resolution in areas related to inspections, CO’s, acceptance of infrastructure, and interpreting codes, standards, regulations and conditions set by Council. Ensures appropriate stakeholders are included. Schedules and leads preconstruction or construction meetings with appropriate agency representatives and internal stakeholders. Coordinates construction activities, inspections and sign-offs. Coordinates and resolves field issues to meet construction timeframes. Works closely with other Town staff, outside agency representatives, and contractors. Ensures appropriate permit applications are made and permits issued, inspections conducted, and sign-offs meet the stated project goals. May supervise other staff related to project issues for specific aspects of permit plan review or field inspection. Ensures construction related activity adheres to the permit, construction plans, agreements approved by staff, including conditions of development agreements and project sureties.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Qualifications: Generally a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related Community Development discipline; supplemented by a minimum of four (4) years of closely related experience or any equivalent combination. Minimum of two years (2) supervisory or team lead experience preferred.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

•	Works cooperatively and effectively in a team environment or across teams to achieve.&lt;br /&gt;

Skills&lt;br /&gt;
•	Requires very strong communication skills both verbal and written.  Fluent in English.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio.  Familiar in EDA software such as P-CAD, Altium Designer or equivalent is desired.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Familiar with RoHS compliance.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Familiar with worst case tolerance analysis (such as AC timing, AC/DC thermal)&lt;br /&gt;
•	Requires demonstrated ability to read and analyze schematics for analog and digital circuits. .&lt;br /&gt;

Typical components include pump housings, shafts, gears, and impellers in a fast paced high-mix low-volume machine shop.&lt;br /&gt;

The successful candidate must be capable of self direction and accountability, as well as working with team members on projects. This position works closely with shop floor machinists and operators as well as production supervisors and planners to meet quality and production goals. Application of six sigma concepts in a metal machining environment is a real plus.&lt;br /&gt;

This position is responsible for leading the Headend/Hub Operations Team across the state of Colorado. This Team is focused on the operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning for equipment in headends and hubs that provide video, high-speed data, voice, and additional services to Comcast customers. Duties that this position oversees include ensuring equipment is monitored and operating properly, responding to and resolving equipment alarms and outages, configuring headend and hub equipment, preventative maintenance, and maintenance of system documentation. This person is responsible for operational metrics to include outage response time, TOE/TIE, combined trouble call rate, contact rate, MTTR, scheduled maintenance overruns, capacity, and market health. This position is responsible to internal and external customers with an emphasis on collaboration with Field Operations, Customer Care, and Division XOC Teams. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Manages a geographically diverse team toward achieving operational goals and constantly improving performance as measured by operational metrics&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Lead efforts focused on measuring and improving headend/hub performance with an emphasis on documented standards and procedures tied to levels and error rates, market health, trouble call, and call volume by node performance&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Manages break/fix efforts in a 24x7 environment; develops documentation and scorecards to track performance by headend/hub&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Oversees scheduled maintenance activities to include planning, managing the operation impact, evaluating documented procedures, and verifying quality assurance checks are completed for every maintenance&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Assures that up-to-date documentation is maintained to include required compliance documentation, headend/hub inventories, headend/hub design, channel distribution tracking, and related support equipment data&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Tracks project progress and assures deliverables occur on time updating project documentation as required&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Works with partner teams to improve the available capacity for services by augmenting and upgrading equipment&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Manages employee training and development to include regular face-to-face coaching &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Helps with capital and expense budget management providing feedback to leadership on future budget needs&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Works with HR Teams to meet with employees to understand and resolve issues that are barriers to Team and individual success&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Recognizes and practices safety rules and procedures&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Tasks&lt;br /&gt;
• Creates and maintains a system of metrics and reporting standards by which to measure and report the real-time results of workflow and&lt;br /&gt;
practical application of relevant standards.&lt;br /&gt;
• Analyzes results of metrics and reports to determine effective work processes and standards and identify flaws. Recommends solutions to work process and standards flaws.&lt;br /&gt;
• Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and procedures. Acts as a key stakeholder in strategic decisions around products, platforms, and technologies.&lt;br /&gt;
• Directs the daily and overall performance of department projects.&lt;br /&gt;
• Delegates responsibilities when necessary. Ensures projects are completed on time and in adherence to the given budget and in accordance to company standards.&lt;br /&gt;
• Manages direct and dotted line reports. Acts as a resource for technical and workflow issues. Mentors, recruits, and guides staff, ensuring access to ongoing training programs, policies, operational procedures and guiding them in building their technical and communications skills.&lt;br /&gt;
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.&lt;br /&gt;
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.&lt;br /&gt;
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.&lt;br /&gt;

REQUIREMENTS&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent, Engineering&lt;br /&gt;
• Generally requires 6-9 years related experience&lt;br /&gt;
 &lt;br /&gt;
Additional Requirements&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills demonstrated through regular interactions with employees, customers, company management, and vendors&lt;br /&gt;
• Detailed-orientated and organized with superb follow through skills. Possess the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast paced changing environment&lt;br /&gt;
• Regularly takes the initiative and is assertive in daily efforts to improve performance&lt;br /&gt;
• Minimum five years' experience in a leadership position &lt;br /&gt;
• Ten or more years broadband systems experience with thorough knowledge of headend to include understanding the HFC network from signal acquisition to home delivery&lt;br /&gt;
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or relevant experience desired&lt;br /&gt;
• Good computer skills to include aptitude with technical writing, working with spreadsheets, developing presentations, and using drawing software&lt;br /&gt;
• Should be comfortable with presenting to large groups of people&lt;br /&gt;
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a safe driving record&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
