We currently seek an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer with relevant experience in the Power Generation sector to work in our Denver, CO office. Qualified candidates will have experience with control system philosophies, control system architectures, and control valves and instrumentation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

� Responsible for instrument database applications, logic diagrams and control system drawing development (DCS I/O Lists, Cause/Effect Diagrams, etc.)
� Design and develop new control systems
� Prepare instrument (ISA) data sheets
� Interface with vendors/suppliers to determine proper control device solutions and applications
� Maintain and modify existing systems
� Provide support for P&ID development
� Provide graphic design support for I&C deliverables
� Troubleshoot and problem-solve control system issues
� Provide technical oversight of process instrumentation, control systems, safety instrumented systems and data acquisition systems on all projects

Qualifications

� Experience with key duties and responsibilities described above is a requirement
� Minimum 5 years experience in the Power and/or Oil and Gas industries working on multiple projects.
� Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience
� Experience with system control philosophies, control system architectures, control valves and instrumentation including PLC, DCS and HMI control system hardware associated with industrial multi-disciplined projects
� Demonstrated communication skills
� Experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, and ECE PIDMO
� Strong database skills (MS Access)
� Professional Engineer's license a plus

� Establish, report on and improve appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) consistent with organizational Balance Scorecard objectives and corporate philosophies. This may include but is not limited to:
o Ensure manufacturing equipment performs in order to meet the safety, quality, regulatory, market availability and cost goals of the organization.
o Improve the performance ratio between corrective and preventive maintenance � equipment actual reliability.
o Implement a predictive maintenance program across manufacturing � equipment predicted reliability.
o Spare parts inventory and replenishment performance.
o Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
� Maintain a project prioritization process which delivers upon company objectives.
� Ensure automation and assembly processes are validated in accordance with internal QMS and external regulatory requirements.
� Partner with others across the organization to ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and ISO requirements.
� Partner with the Global Product Quality organization in support of the QMS.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Requires a Bachelor of Science degree or may have a Master of Science degree, both in Engineering.

Employees entering this job typically have 15 - 19 years of experience both in leadership and technical positions of increasing responsibility

JOB DESCRIPTION

Posting is for a Manufacturing Engineering position within Sundyne Corporation's Arvada, Colorado facility. This position will be responsible to develop and maintain metal cutting processes on multi-axis machining and turning centers. The job includes all aspects of process development including, process definition, work holding definition, tool selection, 3D modeling, CNC programming, inspection definition, and process documentation. Typical components include pump housings, shafts, gears, and impellers in a fast paced high-mix low-volume machine shop.

This is a senior position, and the successful candidate will have 10 plus years of experience in metal machining, including CNC programming for multi-axis machining. A strong understanding of machine controls (Fanuc, Okuma OSP, etc) and M&G code programming is required. Experience programming with Unigraphics NX or similar CAM software preferred. Experience with NX Post Builder and NX Open will be an advantage but is not specifically required. Programming in other languages such as Visual Basic or C will be helpful.

The successful candidate must be capable of self direction and accountability, as well as working with team members on projects. This position works closely with shop floor machinists and operators as well as production supervisors and planners to meet quality and production goals. Ability to work well with others is an important ingredient to success for this position. A proven track record of solving technical problems and implementing creative and sound solutions is a must. Application of six sigma concepts in a metal machining environment is a real plus.

EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or Technology preferred.
Related technical disciplines or suitable experience may be considered in lieu manufacturing degree.
