Position Description

The Phantom Works organization is seeking an avionics hardware engineer to support the Boeing Adaptive Architecture program. Position Description

Boeing - St. Louis Electrical Engineering is seeking new/recent college graduates and early career engineers to participate in the development of complex FPGA-based logic designs, including the analysis of customer & system requirements, the development of architectural approaches & detailed specifications, and the implementation and verification of the designs. The engineer will work with system engineers and management to define requirements. Will perform preliminary logic design, parts selection, design analysis, generate design specifications and implement source code, perform verification in simulations, and verify and validate operation in hardware. Will test assembled designs and support software & system integration, design reviews, and support transition to production activities.

Experience in designing FPGA-based electronic systems and use of related electronic design tools is required. Applicants must have good communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment - previous design team or special project team participation is desired. The St. Louis/St. Charles sites are located in St. Louis & St. Charles counties respectively, located about 20 miles NW of downtown St. Louis, Missouri. F/A-18 & F-15 fighter jets are built and integrated at the site and flight tested at various Navy and Air Force test facilities. Position Description

Skills: The successful candidate must have current knowledge of DoD air and missile defense systems and be proficient in software systems engineering analysis and practices. Job Description: This position is responsible for assessing security vulnerabilities associated with a wide variety of wireless systems including military, commercial and industrial wireless networks.

Requirements

Education: BS, MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Experience: Experience with embedded system development, reverse engineering, exploit development, hacking, IDA Pro and/or protocol fuzzing tools is highly recommended.

Skills: Experience with embedded system development for wireless devices. Familiarity with communications protocol stack, especially lower layers. Software reverse engineering with IDAPro or other tools. Experience with digital processing circuit board design and/or testing including use of logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc. Vulnerability analysis/exploit development using tools such as protocol fuzzers, Metasploit, Backtrack or others. Broad programming skills to support analysis efforts in any programming environment which may be encountered during testing.

Other: Candidate must be a US citizen capable of holding a Top Secret DoD Security clearance, active clearance a major plus.
