						<description>Job Title: Design Engineer&lt;br/&gt;

Location: Wixom, MI&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;

Primary tasks will be to assist in the research and design of electronic embedded board products.  This will include design, testing, documentation, and manufacturing support of electronic products.  In addition, existing products must occasionally be supported with component updates.  Candidate will also provide product application support for new and existing products. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).  Additional BSCE (Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering) would be a plus but not required.  Also requires a minimum of 2 years experience using and designing with board schematic capture and PCB tools.  Experience with Xilinx or Altera FPGA products/tools and VHDL FPGA code development would be a plus but not required.  Requires experience with the C programming language to test and evaluate product designs.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
U.S. Citizenship is Required.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;

The Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer position is a corporate level position within the Facilities Engineering Department with the overall responsibility of leading the design, installation, and maintenance of power distribution systems and related installations at manufacturing, distribution, and office locations worldwide. The Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer is responsible for all phases of project management from design through construction, testing, and start-up. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Specific Duties:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 Direct and coordinate design, construction, installation, and documentation of projects electrical in nature or the electrical portions of larger projects.&lt;br /&gt;
 Manage outside engineering consultants, construction managers, and contractors.&lt;br /&gt;
 Design and install electrical systems for office, warehouse, and industrial use including power distribution systems for production equipment.&lt;br /&gt;
 Inspect and test new installations for conformance to operational and safety standards.&lt;br /&gt;
 Provide input in capital project development for new facility and equipment installations.&lt;br /&gt;
 Provide estimates and develop budgets for electrical projects.&lt;br /&gt;
 Perform field studies to identify and correct power system issues. Inspect existing installations for compliance to current codes and standards.&lt;br /&gt;
 Perform detailed numerical and logical analysis of proposed construction options, utility proposals, risk management opportunities, and safety and environmental issues.&lt;br /&gt;
 Actively participate in strategic planning of new facility development and utilization.&lt;br /&gt;
 Negotiate construction contracts and equipment purchases.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 &lt;b&gt;Requirements and Qualifications:&lt;/b&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 Bachelors degree from a four-year college&lt;br /&gt;
 Five years direct experience in construction project management or electrical design engineering&lt;br /&gt;
 Experience developing project's scope, estimate, and justification&lt;br /&gt;
 Experience in power distribution &lt;br /&gt;
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills&lt;br /&gt;
 Working knowledge with MS Word, Excel, Lotus Notes or equivalent&lt;br /&gt;
 Ability to understand and apply statistical analysis&lt;br /&gt;
 Must be able to work independently and be self motivated&lt;br /&gt;
 Ability to obtain and maintain a passport and driver's license&lt;br /&gt;
 Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time&lt;br /&gt;
 Exposure to a manufacturing environment a plus&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
