The purpose of and need for the Juneau Access Improvements Project is to provide improved transportation to and from Juneau within the Lynn Canal corridor that will reduce travel times, state, and user costs while providing capacity to meet demand and improved opportunity to travel.&lt;br /&gt;

This position is responsible for general and specific direction of the Juneau Access project.  The primary duty is to oversee the development of a court order Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) and eventual contract awards for its staged construction.  Duties include coordination and management of consultants  and in-house subject matter experts involved in numerous studies such as socioeconomics, highway alignments, terrestrial and marine habitat, marine transportation links, traffic demand, highways, etc.  &lt;br /&gt;

The Project Manager will be an expert in NEPA implementation and must be intimately familiar with the environmental impact analysis process for new road development, particularly with regard to wildlife, wetlands, endangered species, essential fish habitat, and historic properties.  The Project Manager must also be familiar with all aspects of planning and engineering related to project development.  The level of coordination of these activities is of considerable intricacy, requiring the skills and experience of several years of FHWA EIS work, along with construction permitting and environmental compliance monitoring.  The Project Manager will meet with federal, state, local officials and community groups requiring a level of high profile experience in public and agency involvement.&lt;br /&gt;

The project is expected to take eight years to reach completion.  &lt;br /&gt;

CMA Engineering in southwest Austin is accepting resumes for PEs, EITs and CADD Technicians with experience in municipal, W&amp;WW design, and land development projects. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
CMA Engineering, Inc. is a civil and environmental engineering firm formed in December 1996 that specializes in providing environmental and civil engineering services such as the design of water, wastewater, and drainage and stormwater facilities; planning of residential and commercial land development projects, and recreational parks; utility district consulting; and water and wastewater treatment plants, and stormwater permitting through the TCEQ.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
CADD Technician responsibilities will be the production of drawings and exhibits utilizing AutoCAD® Civil 3D along with performing other miscellaneous duties as required.  CADD abilities will be applied to projects in the following categories:  land development, site plans, subdivision layout and platting, roadway design, water and wastewater treatment systems, water distribution systems, water storage facilities, wastewater collection systems, lift stations, onsite sewage facilities, water quality facilities, and stormwater management structures.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
PE and EIT responsibilities will include both design of and assistance in design of roadways, storm sewer systems, detention and water quality ponds, culverts, bar ditches, water and wastewater treatment systems, water distribution systems, water storage facilities, wastewater collection systems, lift stations, onsite sewage facilities; assisting with land development projects; attending meetings on behalf of CMA as required; and other miscellaneous duties as required.  Additionally, responsibilities will include developing preliminary planning and final design reports in support of the aforementioned projects.  &lt;br /&gt;
