Key Responsibilities:&lt;br /&gt;

As a member of the P&amp;A growing consulting team, the responsibilities of this position will include supporting P&amp;A senior associates in the:&lt;br /&gt;
 &lt;br /&gt;
- Development, planning and implementation of client-focused physical asset management systems according to best practice and international standards.&lt;br /&gt;
- Development and implementation of asset/O&amp;M management models, strategies, objectives and plans.&lt;br /&gt;
- Development and implementation of O&amp;M solutions, including implementation of CMMS/IWMS systems and development of underlying normalized reference data sets.&lt;br /&gt;
- Development and implementation of energy and environmental management solutions for corporate real estate portfolios and facilities, as well as manufacturing/production environments.&lt;br /&gt;
- Research the relevant engineering, technical and HSE standards and regulatory requirements for industry sectors and geographies targeted by P&amp;A.&lt;br /&gt;
- Supporting asset management audits, gap analysis and improvement programs in P&amp;A client environments, including facilities condition audits, asset management audits, O&amp;M practices, energy audits, quality and HSE management programs.&lt;br /&gt;
- Development of engineering, operational and maintenance specifications and technical documentation under the direction of P&amp;A senior associates.&lt;br /&gt;
- Developing facility related technical and operational risk assessments. &lt;br /&gt;
- Development of O&amp;M organizational improvement strategies and plans for clients.&lt;br /&gt;
- Supporting the development of training and coaching materials for P&amp;A client staff and service provider teams.&lt;br /&gt;
- Review and improvement of maintenance service contracts including contractor obligations and commercial models.&lt;br /&gt;
- Maintenance service contract transition and mobilization support.&lt;br /&gt;
- Maintenance services procurement support and procurement process facilitation.&lt;br /&gt;
- Planning and support of the commissioning of building systems and associated plant and equipment, including:&lt;br /&gt;
     - Participating in building design and specification reviews. &lt;br /&gt;
     - Developing relevant plant and equipment acceptance protocols and procedures.&lt;br /&gt;
     - Conducting hazard and operability studies and identifying life safety and business critical systems.&lt;br /&gt;
     - Developing O&amp;M procedures including planned maintenance regimes for plant &amp; equipment.&lt;br /&gt;
     - Developing plant and equipment asset register as well as other key O&amp;M master reference data to ensure standardized operations and accurate reporting.&lt;br /&gt;
     - Developing Integrated Work Management System (IWMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) requirements.&lt;br /&gt;
     - Developing maintenance strategies and maintenance plans (i.e. demand profiling, system configuration and capacity management, life cycle costing, reliability management approach, etc.). &lt;br /&gt;
     - Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, and regulatory requirements.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Educational:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Primary degree in an engineering-related field, with exceptional academic performance&lt;br /&gt;
- Further qualifications in a technical/engineering management field will be an advantage&lt;br /&gt;

Technical/Professional (Preferred credentials - not a requirement):&lt;br /&gt;

- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer In Training (EIT)&lt;br /&gt;

The MEP Design manager will also work with the contractors and all other specialist design consultants to the required quality standards inclusive of all CPS requirements of the project. The MEP Design Manager will also be responsible for transfer of the design/construction related matters and solutions between the various project stake holders.  This candidate will support the project team and review and co-ordinate to ensure all design changes and solutions are implemented and coordinated into the project design documentation.  The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of designing and troubleshooting MEP systems in addition to working side-by-side with Architects, Owners and MEP Sub-Contractors.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Principal Accountabilities:&lt;br /&gt;
•	Manage and execute assignments and assume ownership as lead engineer on projects.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Perform field verification tasks.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Review and Suggest Basis of Design and create conceptual designs gathered from program requirements.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Review engineering calculations&lt;br /&gt;
•	Review engineered plans and technical reports/specifications.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Review cost estimates.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Review level of commissioning needed and coordinate efforts of third party commissioning on CPS renovations as well as new construction.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Review the Building Automation Systems (BAS) proposed for our facilities.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Make recommendations for retro –commissioning when appropriate.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Assume overall ownership and leadership of the project’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing criteria pertaining to each of the building types built in different times of the last century.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Manage project budget and schedule. &lt;br /&gt;
•	Collaborate with internal design team members of working on the project.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Perform peer review of engineer’s drawings&lt;br /&gt;
•	Research and documentation of policy, best practices and guidance related to pilot initiatives.  &lt;br /&gt;
•	Maintain a working knowledge of all policies and standards related to CPS guidelines and technical standards as well as the Chicago Building Code and Illinois State codes pertaining to the work.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Type of Education Required: &lt;br /&gt;
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in electrical or mechanical engineering required.  &lt;br /&gt;
Professional Engineer (P.E) registration.&lt;br /&gt;
LEED accreditation a plus&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Type of Experience and Number of Years:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•	A minimum of 8 years work experience with an MEP engineering consultant, 2 years as a project manager.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Experience should include projects on which you have actively led from the design phase through the final construction close-out of K-12 facilities. &lt;br /&gt;
•	High level understanding of HVAC, plumbing and building automation/controls.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations and vendors.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Experience on green building projects.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Commissioning experience required.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Knowledge of MEP related LEED credits and Energy Star.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Knowledge of Chicago Building Code.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Must be proficient with the use of computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, AutoCAD, BIM and Oracle.&lt;br /&gt;

Education and Training: College plus training&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
