	Shall be responsible for identifying and reviewing engineering design codes under which the Project shall be designed as required to receive all required building permits and licenses.  Division Manager shall advise the WDB Project Executive and Architect of any code design issues subject to interpretation by Code Officials that cannot be resolved prior to submission for permits.  Seal and sign the drawings made from the department as the responsible design.  &lt;br /&gt;
	Coordinates with Woodward Design Group or outside Architect firm and Steel Department during all above listed design stages as applicable.&lt;br /&gt;
	Prepares project designs and plans using computer assisted design software and equipment such as; Autocad, BSD Specklink, Sweets, MS Word, Excel, Lotus, etc.  Division Manager will advise on upgrades and new computer hardware and software that will be beneficial to the department.  &lt;br /&gt;
	Supervises and checks work of all engineering deliverables.&lt;br /&gt;
	Makes final check of project specifications and/or the specification review process as it relates to the scope of engineering.&lt;br /&gt;
	Supervises activities of other Engineers, draftsmen or modelers, and others engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents. &lt;br /&gt;
	Assigns shop drawing checking to others in department if required by WEG.  Reviews submittals when necessary.  Ensures reviews are completed per job timetable as indicated on transmittals.&lt;br /&gt;
	Continuously improve existing systems in engineering and determine what Best Management Practices (BMPs) should be followed, enforced, and audited.&lt;br /&gt;
	Reviews and determines appropriate engineering fees in an effort to align design to cost requirements, and responsible for creating written proposals to client (architect or WDB).&lt;br /&gt;
	Conducts periodic on-site observations of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans and specifications.&lt;br /&gt;
	Coordinates preparation of As-Built Drawings to be submitted with Project Managers closeout documents.&lt;br /&gt;
	Conducts review of project invoices.  Works with accounting group on projections and financial statements of the Division.  &lt;br /&gt;

- &lt;!--d--&gt;Performing relief device calculations as needed and in compliance with the RAGAGEP standards&lt;br /&gt;
- Assisting technical staff in scheduled Process Hazard Analysis reviews&lt;br /&gt;
- Assisting technical staff in determining a PSM criticality for the existing and new equipment and already established SOC loops&lt;br /&gt;
- Completing numerous PSM recommendations resulting from audits, incident investigations or corporate directives&lt;br /&gt;
- Supports plant resources to complete basic data packages. Review basic data with area technical resources for completeness. Ensure project basic data is satisfactory to complete detailed design.&lt;br /&gt;
- Acts as the interface between the design group and the site construction team and work with management to define priority of work.&lt;br /&gt;
- Provide guidance to designers supporting minor design projects.&lt;br /&gt;
- Ensures that design meet expectations of site technical and operations groups.&lt;br /&gt;
- Work with designers and site resources to complete design packages. In this case, DCCE may have the overall responsibility to provide a complete and functional design package.&lt;br /&gt;
- Work with construction and scheduling coordinators to facilitate the overall implementation process and address and resolve issues accordingly.&lt;br /&gt;
- Work with field team to ensure projects are implemented as defined in scopes of work and other project documents. Monitor field installation and provide detailed design and installation instruction as required.&lt;br /&gt;
- Ensure that project implementation steps are completed as scheduled.&lt;br /&gt;
- Participate in the monthly Unit Team meetings where the timing of the design projects and required PSM work completion is discussed and new projects and PSM recommendations are prioritized.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Job Qualifications: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- B.S. Chemical Engineering from ABET Accredited University Program&lt;br /&gt;
- Minimum of five to ten (5-10) years plant experience with substantial knowledge of PSM management&lt;br /&gt;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.&lt;br /&gt;
- Strong leadership skills.&lt;br /&gt;
- Basic computer skills including MS Office (particularly Excel).&lt;br /&gt;
- General knowledge of chemical manufacturing facilities and operations.&lt;br /&gt;
- General knowledge of construction and contracting practices.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

- PHA Experience&lt;br /&gt;

Duties and Essential Job Functions: &lt;br /&gt;

Work with engineering and production to develop, implement and improve production process controls to ensure product performance and reliability in the field.&lt;br /&gt;
Develop quality control and inspection test plans, including procedures for recording, evaluating and reporting process output.&lt;br /&gt;
