Yoh has a direct-hire opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our client in Toone, TN.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Designs, develops and introduces automation in order to improve various manufacturing processes.
- Generates equipment specifications to ensure applicable production rates are met with equipment downtime within agreed-to limits and spare parts availability is ensured
- Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Supports new program launch activities by developing process planning documents such as process flows/maps, PFMEAs, SPC plans, error-proofing plans, work instructions, etc. and supporting implementation of those documents during line start-up.
- Supports on-going production efforts on assigned product line(s).
- Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure product manufacturability and efficient production methods.
- Confers with vendors to determine and generate product and equipment specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Estimates tooling and equipment costs in support of bid efforts.
- Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

Job Qualifications:

- B.S. Engineering Degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical
- Four (4) Year Engineering Degree
- At least five (5) years as a PE in a manufacturing environment
- Certified Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
- SPC implementation experience
- FMEA/DOE experience
- DoD Product experience
- Explosives rated industry experience
- Must be able to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
