  • Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies that may improve operations; develop innovative processes to reduce waste and minimize delay in critical activities&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Our ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:&lt;br /&gt;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical or a related technology, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree or equivalent preferred&lt;br /&gt;
  • Five (5) or more years on design and development of RF and Microwave components including, but not limited to Mixers, VCOs, LNAs, Gain Blocks and Power Amplifiers using both hybrid and modular techniques up to frequencies of 26 GHz&lt;br /&gt;
  • Five (5) or more years design/development experience in electronic process manufacturing environment&lt;br /&gt;
  • Strong knowledge of basic RF and microwave circuits and the workings of the associated test equipment to make supporting measurements&lt;br /&gt;
  • Strong leadership skills and attention to detail; prior management experience preferred&lt;br /&gt;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; technical writing experience&lt;br /&gt;
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word/Excel, PCB layout skills, RF system and design modeling software; knowledge of Genesys, Allegro and SolidWorks a plus&lt;br /&gt;
  • Ability to work with detail and accuracy and to analyze and solve problems quickly&lt;br /&gt;

• Working with Marketing and Engineering, assists in the design of new and/or redesigned products and the development of manufacturing plans to include manufacturing procedures, tooling and fixtures, initial labor estimates, capital requirements, transportation, etc.&lt;br /&gt;
• Manages the implementation of the above mentioned processes and systems in all BAC plants in North America as required&lt;br /&gt;
• Initiates profit improvement projects related to materials, labor, overhead and equipment&lt;br /&gt;
• Facilitates the communication of manufacturing information between plants in an effort to share knowledge/benefits company-wide&lt;br /&gt;
• Assists Plants with capital budgets, equipment selection and plant layout as assigned.&lt;br /&gt;
• Prepares Capital Expenditure Requests including financial justification for new and innovative equipment and processes as well as new plants&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
QUALIFICATIONS&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline; Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical required&lt;br /&gt;
• Five plus years previous engineering experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment required&lt;br /&gt;
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication &amp; assembly and process improvement required&lt;br /&gt;
• Excellent computer skills - Windows applications and MS Office &lt;br /&gt;
• CAD/Drafting experience preferred but not required&lt;br /&gt;
• Competent employing continuous improvement tools including Lean in a manufacturing environment&lt;br /&gt;

Report unresolved problems, delays etc. to the Senior Design engineer and the Manager of Engineering for resolution in a time frame consistent with the need.&lt;br /&gt;

4. Perform product/vendor searches.&lt;br /&gt;
In a time frame relevant to the assigned project, identify potential products and/or vendors that meet the design criteria and consider functionality, appearance, producability, availability, and cost.  Report findings and recommend course action to Manager of Engineering within the required time frame.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
5. Arrange sample product delivery/acquisition for prototype evaluation.&lt;br /&gt;
When assigned, or when needed for a design project, obtain sample products as available from a vendor. &lt;br /&gt;

In the time frame assigned, perform value analysis and present options with a recommended course of action to the Senior Design Engineer and the Manager of Engineering for approval.&lt;br /&gt;

Communicate designs, data, and specifications to shop managers/personnel in a clear, and concise manner (i.e. with the minimum of time spent, resulting in minimal errors), in a time frame relevant to the urgency of the project.   Revise designs within the design criteria throughout the project without delaying the application of manpower or completion of the project.  Resolve problems, delays etc. in a time frame consistent with the need.  Report unresolved problems, delays etc. to the Manager of Design Engineering for resolution in a time frame consistent with the need.&lt;br /&gt;

4.	Perform product/vendor searches.&lt;br /&gt;
