Job Description

This position requires work in one or more of the following areas:

� Test and measurement. Work with RF communications equipment to measure characteristics such as sensitivity, selectivity, spurious response, bit error rate, third order intermod, etc.
� Evaluation (reverse engineering) of RF communications equipment involving the disassembly of equipment, assessment of integrated circuit functionality and state of the art, and development of functional block diagrams. A limited amount of circuit tracing is involved.
� Data protocols and network-wide communications (commercial and military). Experience analyzing data traffic and/or a good understanding of the OSI stack is highly desirable. Experience with Wireshark or similar tools is a plus.
� Network vulnerability analysis. Assess vulnerability to jamming, unauthorized network access, malware, man-in-the-middle attacks, spoofing message attacks ,etc.
� Signal processing algorithms for communications applications. Experience using X-MIDAS or MATLAB to demodulate, analyze or process digitized RF communciations signals.

Requirements

Education: BS, MS in electrical engineering, computer science or related field

Experience: Candidate must possess 3 years of experience in design, test and evaluation, digital data communications or RF signal processing associated with communications networks

Skills: Must have experience working with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector signal analyzers, bit error rate testers. Must also be able to analyze and interpret results. Design experience useful and desirable. Experience with signal demodulation and receiver signal processing is very desirable, especially Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM), carrier tracking, and equalization. Software radio development such as the GNU radio of Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) systems is very desirable.

Job Description

This key role will be responsible for vulnerability assessment and technique development. Will be involved with research opportunities related to computer network attack, defense and exploitation. Candidate must understand fundamental (and preferably) advanced information security principles, and have experience probing and exploiting a variety of information systems for analysis of vulnerabilities.

Requirements

Education: BS, MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Experience: Experience with embedded system development and/or reverse engineering, IDA Pro, analysis/development of malware, and/or protocol fuzzing tools is highly recommended.

Skills: Candidate must possess strong scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Bash) and adequate programming skills to support operating in any programming environment which may be encountered during testing. Familiarity with industry standard tools such as BackTrack, Metasploit, Nessus and their standalone constituent tools is a plus. Candidate must have a strong familiarity with computer architecture and Windows system internals, as well as at least one Unix-style operating system (preferably Linux).

CISSP is also a plus.

Job Description

The Malware Engineer will perform applied research on sponsored programs targeted at information security and network defense, and participate in internal R&D (IRAD) associated with tool sets designed to probe and defend information repositories and networks. The Malware Engineer will be expected to support conferences, sponsor briefings, participate in delivering content associated with short courses and CTISL's education initiatives and other activities in support of our outreach activities.

Requirements

Education: BS in computer science, electrical engineering, or related technical field, MS or PhD preferred.

Experience: Candidate must possess 3-5 years professional experience in the information security

domain.

Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of emerging threats, including exploitation vectors and malware infection techniques. Candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated knowledge in automating complex tasks using high-level scripting languages is a must. Candidate must exhibit a strong grasp of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and assembly language. Experience in reverse engineering x86-based executables (specifically malware) is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Current, industry-recognized certifications (CISSP, GIAC) or the ability to become certified within one year of hire is critical. Certified Information Security System Professional (CISSP) a plus.

The Network Penetration Engineer will test and evaluate information security. This individual will be responsible for assisting in assessment planning, execution and analysis of results in order to further secure targeted systems. Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for assisting CTSIL with business development and research opportunities related to computer network attack, defense, and exploitation, as well as security tools, exploit analysis, and attack techniques.

Requirements

Education: BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) concentration or equivalent. Sufficient experience may allow for a different BS. Willingness to pursue advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Security or similar concentration.

Experience: Candidate must possess 3 years of relevant experience in the information security domain. Ideal candidate will understand fundamental (and preferably) advanced information security principles and have experience probing and exploiting a variety of information systems. Individual must understand and practice sensitive data handling during testing. Candidate must have a strong familiarity with Windows system internals, as well as at least one Unix-style operating system (preferably Linux). Candidate must also possess strong scripting skills and adequate programming skills to support operating in any programming environment which may be encountered during testing. Skills: Strong presentation and writing skills. Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Bash). Significant experience administering Windows and Unix systems. Ability to obtain within 12 months of hire is a prerequisite for selection.

Network Systems Engineer will provide both programmatic and technical support to DoD customers in planning, designing, and implementing Computer Network Defense (CND) and Command and Control (C2) Network infrastructure. The individual will mainly support the rapid fielding of new technology on existing war fighting platforms and must be familiar with current DoD C2 and CND capabilities, Information Assurance polices, installation and implementation guidelines, and DoD Government contracting.

Requirements

Education: BS in computer science, electrical engineering or related technical field, MS preferred.

Experience: Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years direct work experience with DoD and CND.

Skills: The individual must have detailed knowledge of DoD network security practices and be proficient in systems engineering analysis of complex problems. The individual must display strong presentation and writing skills and be able to interact with flag level officers and negotiate with Government engineers on design implementations. The following certifications are preferred but not required, individual must demonstrate strong skills and have experience in these bodies of knowledge to be considered for the position: PMP, CSEP, CISSP, CCNP.

The individual will work along side other Linux engineers to meet the goals and objectives of various projects. Development emphasis is centered around Multi-Level Security (MLS) solutions, labeled database implementations, identity management, web services and redundant, multi-tenant eservice environments. The position will also require knowledge in administration of large (32+) node Beowulf clusters.

Requirements

Education: BS in computer science, electrical engineering or related technical field, MS preferred.

Experience: Experience in Linux configuration and administration. Experience with networking and configuration management will be required. Component level hardware expertise a plus.

Skills: Intermediate to in depth knowledge of SE Linux, Tomcat/Apache, and Oracle on Linux required. Experience in MLS, Java programming, and Postgress a definite plus.
