• &lt;b&gt;Test and measurement&lt;/b&gt;.  Work with RF communications equipment to measure characteristics such as sensitivity, selectivity, spurious response, bit error rate, third order intermod, etc. &lt;br /&gt;
• &lt;b&gt;Evaluation (reverse engineering) of RF communications equipment &lt;/b&gt; involving the disassembly of equipment, assessment of integrated circuit functionality and state of the art, and development of functional block diagrams.  A limited amount of circuit tracing is involved.&lt;br /&gt;
• &lt;b&gt;Data protocols and network-wide communications&lt;/b&gt; (commercial and military).   Experience analyzing data traffic and/or a good understanding of the OSI stack is highly desirable.  Experience with Wireshark or similar tools is a plus.&lt;br /&gt;
• &lt;b&gt;Network vulnerability analysis.  Assess vulnerability to&lt;/b&gt; jamming, unauthorized network access, malware, man-in-the-middle attacks, spoofing message attacks ,etc.&lt;br /&gt;
• &lt;b&gt;Signal processing algorithms&lt;/b&gt; for communications applications.  Experience using X-MIDAS or MATLAB to demodulate, analyze or process digitized RF communciations signals.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Requirements&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Education: &lt;/b&gt;BS, MS in electrical engineering, computer science or related field&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Experience:&lt;/b&gt; Candidate must possess 3 years of experience in design, test and evaluation, digital data communications or RF signal processing associated with communications networks&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Skills:&lt;/b&gt; Must have experience working with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector signal analyzers, bit error rate testers.  Must also be able to analyze and interpret results.  Design experience useful and desirable.  Experience with signal demodulation and receiver signal processing is very desirable, especially Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM), carrier tracking, and equalization.  Software radio development such as the GNU radio of Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) systems is very desirable. &lt;br /&gt;
