Defines and documents certification to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort and ongoing analysis processes. Working knowledge of USAF ASIP strain gage flight data requirements and evaluation, analysis, and reporting procedures is desired. Specific knowledge of Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) programs is highly desired. Knowledge of external structural loads methods, structural analysis tools such as NASTRAN &amp;amp; MATLAB, and knowledge of structural fatigue methods including crack growth and spectrum development. Experience maintaining, modifying and operating large scale FORTRAN structural analysis software in a Unix computing environment is desired. &lt;br /&gt;
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?&lt;br /&gt;
In your role as a Plant Engineer, you will be part of our success by:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•Formulating engineering solutions to problems and developing plans according to project requirements. This may involve technical studies, calculations and research.&lt;br /&gt;
•Preparing specifications and designs for part fixtures utilized in automated equipment and systems.&lt;br /&gt;
•Consulting with and receiving proposals and quotes from contractors and suppliers.&lt;br /&gt;
•Preparing drawings, cost estimates, time schedules, written descriptions and instructions for the project.&lt;br /&gt;
•Preparing requests for funds and justification for projects.&lt;br /&gt;
•Initiating purchases of necessary equipment, parts, or materials and then arranges for manpower to execute the project plans.&lt;br /&gt;
•Coordinating activities of contractors, maintenance and production employees to efficiently complete projects.	&lt;br /&gt;
•Monitoring progress and adherence to plans and specifications to assure proper installation and start-up.&lt;br /&gt;
•Providing technical assistance to Project Engineers and Designers in the Engineering Services department and to the Plant Maintenance Department.&lt;br /&gt;

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?&lt;br /&gt;
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Engineering, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a four-year college or university; and six years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
