Location: Washington, DC&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;

This position is located in the Washington DC metro area.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;!--d--&gt;The holder of this position will utilize subject-matter expertise to provide analysis of technical challenges and issues for sensors and technologies and integration tasks relevant to Department of Defense (DoD) missions and initiatives.  The engineer shall develop solution concepts for operational problems involving systems that employ various sensor technologies and shall analyze new subsystem and system manifestations of existing sensor technologies to determine if they can solve existing and new operational requirements.  This individual shall analyze the performance, compatibility, survivability, vulnerability, and reliability of various sensors under consideration for procurement or in development, production or operation in order to assess the potential suitability of the solution for an operational environment.  The engineer shall interact with commercial vendors, US Government labs, and military units as required to facilitate these analyses. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Qualifications include a minimum of a BS in an engineering discipline or other relevant area with three years of experience. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Desired qualifications include an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in an engineering discipline with at least ten years of experience.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
All applicants must have the ability to obtain and retain a DoD security clearance.  Selection process will include passing a pre-employment background screening.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;!--d--&gt;The holder of this position will apply analytical techniques, statistical assessments, and other measures to evaluate data and reach appropriate conclusions regarding different technology alternatives.  This individual will ensure proper consideration of technical, programmatic, and management factors to support the analysis of new technologies.  As part of the technology analysis process, this individual will review specific operational requirements for sensors and perform tradeoffs to determine the most appropriate technical approach based on customer-defined performance, integration, cost, and schedule metrics.  The individual will document and present the results of these analyses, incorporating data from others as appropriate, and will develop, maintain, and coordinate documentation as required&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Qualifications include a minimum of a MS degree and at least ten years of experience in the technology analysis and/or acquisition environments.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Desired qualifications include a PhD in a relevant area and at least ten years of experience in the technology analysis and/or acquisition environments.&lt;br /&gt;
