Unity Manfuacturing has produced high quality electrical enclosures at our facility in Garland, TX for over 40 years. In addition to our product line, we manufacture a wide variety of special application enclosures&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Essential Job Functions:&lt;br /&gt;
Design electrical enclosures using Solidworks software within NEMA and UL specification and requirements.&lt;br /&gt;
Review, and approve product design and changes by other engineers.&lt;br /&gt;
Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of engineering and quality control initiatives.&lt;br /&gt;
Prepare quotes for new enclosures and assist sales department with enquires regarding technical aspect of existing products.  Conduct design and development initiatives of new products to expand company’s portfolio and mark share. &lt;br /&gt;
Direct and mentor the junior design engineers in their daily assigned activities and work.&lt;br /&gt;
Present and explain proposals and quotes, reports, and findings to clients.&lt;br /&gt;
Plan and direct quality control and total quality management initiatives.&lt;br /&gt;
Manage and administer engineering file data management system, i.e. “REV&quot; control, ECN, BOM.&lt;br /&gt;
Assist with “UL&quot; and “NEMA&quot; certification of new products.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:&lt;br /&gt;
Engineering degree, B.S. in Mechanical or structural Engineering preferred.&lt;br /&gt;
Experience as “lead Engineer” or manager in design and development engineering settings.&lt;br /&gt;
Proficiency in Solidworks 2010 and above and AutoCAD is required.&lt;br /&gt;
3 -5 years of experience in manufacturing environment, metal forming and stamping is highly desirable.&lt;br /&gt;
Solidworks sheet metal experience is highly desirable.&lt;br /&gt;
Knowledge of file and drawing management systems, in particular Solidworks EPDM would be desirable.&lt;br /&gt;
Understanding and knowledge of sheet metal forming process, i.e. sheet metal gage, bend allowance …etc.&lt;br /&gt;
Knowledge of UL and NEMA requirements as related to electrical enclosures is a plus.&lt;br /&gt;
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and value engineering concepts would be desirable.&lt;br /&gt;
Knowledge of ECN process and BOM set up and management.&lt;br /&gt;
Knowledge of laser cutting and blanking operation is desirable. &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;!--d--&gt;The Senior Software Engineer - Data Integration Tools will be responsible for working with other senior members of the Crimson Data Acquisition Engineering team to design and build solutions to support the needs of the implementation teams for market facing Crimson products.  This will involve integration of off the shelf software into a broader custom solution that spans from the receipt of data from our trading partners, loading and transformation of the data into our systems, data quality assessments and enforcement, as well as business process management and the workflow associated with the data management lifecycle.  &lt;br /&gt;

Position Summary &lt;br /&gt;
Uni-Pixel is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to convert customer product requirements and designs for the printed electronics industry, test and troubleshoot new prototypes, and sustain existing designs and equipment. Basic engineering skills must be applied to develop functional and cost conscious designs in order to create solutions from the concept stage to a final released product. Some work involves sustaining existing products and interfacing outside designs into main product lines.&lt;br /&gt;

The position requires a motivated person to take charge of tasks as needed and complete them with minimal supervision in a timely manner. The qualified candidate should also be able to communicate clearly though good writing techniques and verbal communication and have great analytical and problem solving skills. The position will involve close working relationships with the production team, software team, electrical engineering team, and marketing team. Hands-on work will be required throughout all phases of the product design cycle.&lt;br /&gt;

Essential Functions: &lt;br /&gt;
• Basic structural frame and part design.&lt;br /&gt;
• Creating engineering prints with common drafting standards such as dimensioning and bill of material callouts.&lt;br /&gt;
• Creating assembly prints for production and manufacturing.&lt;br /&gt;
• Connector and cable assembly integration.&lt;br /&gt;
• Troubleshooting existing product issues and finding solutions to problems.&lt;br /&gt;
• Significant experience with drafting standards and better than average CAD skills using AutoCAD (2D) and Solidworks (3D). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Desired Skills and Experience:&lt;br /&gt;
• Basic understanding of electronics from digital and analog circuitry to wiring systems.&lt;br /&gt;
• Basic cable assembly drawing/schematic experience.&lt;br /&gt;
