&lt;!--d--&gt;The Quality Industrial Engineer is responsible to develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.  Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction, ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable quality standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Duties may require specialization in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Knowledge Skills and Abilities required for this position:&lt;br /&gt;
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.&lt;br /&gt;
•Knowledge of Solid Works or other CAD/CAM software.&lt;br /&gt;
•Ability to read and understand component and sub-assembly drawings, interpretations of geometric dimensioning and tolerance notations.&lt;br /&gt;
•Proficient in performing all test methods defined by quality engineering test plans in support of Engineering Validation Testing (EVT), Design Validation Testing (DVT) and Process Validation Testing (PVT) activities.&lt;br /&gt;
•Product and component knowledge relative to the needs of all defined test protocols.&lt;br /&gt;
•Ability to use and properly handle power tools, hand tools and lab equipment.&lt;br /&gt;
•Use logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts and associate with information or data to draw conclusions.&lt;br /&gt;
•Principles, theories and practices of engineering.&lt;br /&gt;
•Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely in writing; read and understand information presented in writing.&lt;br /&gt;
•Coordinate the activities or tasks of people, groups and/or organizations.&lt;br /&gt;

Requirements:&lt;br /&gt;
• BS in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Ceramics or related technical field&lt;br /&gt;
• Training in the use of designed experiments, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making tools &lt;br /&gt;

Job Requirements: &lt;br /&gt;

Knowledge of or experience in the following:  &lt;br /&gt;

Responsibilities:&lt;br /&gt;

•	Building envelope compliance calculations.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Building energy code compliance modeling calculations.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Energy analysis using eQUEST and Excel spreadsheet calculations.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Collaborate with other energy modelers and engineers.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Energy auditing responsibilities including field measurements and site audits.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Collaborative approach to problem solving and personal interactions.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Assign tasks to project team members, receive assignments, and share energy simulation technical expertise.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Qualifications:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•	Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering desired.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Prefer 2+ years experience in LEED Energy simulation using eQuest.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Working knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1, local energy code, and local utility incentives.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Experienced with both Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Demonstrated leadership skills with the desire for career growth.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Excellent organizational skills.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Excellent verbal and written communication skills.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Demonstrated success managing client relationships, staff, and projects.&lt;br /&gt;
•	Experience in sustainable design/LEED AP is desired, but not required.&lt;br /&gt;
