Compile and detail the cost/scheduling affairs of the Engineering and/or Construction and Product departments. Prepare analysis of operations, including interim and final statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of projects. &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;Responsibilities&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
• Develop, analyze and interpret statistical and scheduling information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability and performance against budget and other matters affecting the soundness and operating effectiveness of a project.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Review, analyze and coordinate project scope documents to implement an appropriate work break down structure.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Implement project cost and scheduling standards and procedures in compliance with Company and client requirements.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Perform periodic risk analysis to assess contingency requirements.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Review and develop trends, budget updates, scope changes, forecasts, financial evaluations, project deviations, productivity analyses to ensure compliance with Company and client requirements.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Coordinate preparation of the schedules, forecasts, and report variances.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Represent Company at meetings and/or seminars as requested.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Interface with specialized client invoice systems.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Required Skills&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
• Requires a degree in Business, Construction Management, Cost Engineering or related field with 3 to 5 years directly related experience in an EPC/CM environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, clients, and/or customers.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Basic abilities in foreign languages is a plus&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to achieve solutions to cost analysis and scheduling problems.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Requires an proficient level of working knowledge of various computer software packages normally used in EPC/CM work. Proficiency in Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, are necessary. &lt;br /&gt;

• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.&lt;br /&gt;

This position will be responsible for directing the Project Controls support for project work conducted by the FLSmidth Mineral Processing Technology Center. FLS has a unique business model - combining full project engineering and equipment supplier capabilities with downstream competence in erection, commissioning and aftermarket services. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Accordingly, the project controls group will support a range of projects with a total project value in excess of US$1 billion. These projects range in scope/scale from major EPS Concentrator and/or Hydromet facilities, to engineering &amp; equipment supply for &quot;islands&quot; within a larger project, to equipment supply bundles, and multiple equipment supply and engineering only projects.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The successful candidate will provide project control management to include cost controls and analysis, estimating responsibilities, schedule development and monitoring, impact identification, accounting invoice coordination, office facilities planning and associated business management. &lt;br /&gt;
 &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Responsibilities&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1. Identify project control staffing requirements for all current projects and recruit personnel to meet these requirements in cooperation with the human resources department. Serve as a liaison with business unit functional management to coordinate workload and staffing plans.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Review contract drafts and related terms &amp; conditions to ensure they meet project controls requirements and coordinate development of data in support of contract compliance. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3. Assist in setting up project control systems on new projects. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4. Evaluate projects at each stage of development to ensure cost and financial activities of the project team inclusive of ensuring client/contractual obligations have been met. &lt;br /&gt;

5. Direct all cost engineering functions, including cost forecasting, cost control, change management and cost analysis. Ensure good contract execution on projects with regards to change order management.&lt;br /&gt;

6. Lead all planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, analysis, and ongoing recommendations for improvement. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
7. Prepare various project controls plans and reports, financial summaries, and related activities for project management, identify risk areas, and work with project teams to mitigate and ensure work is coordinated between internal departments and offices to ensure compliance with business requirements. &lt;br /&gt;

8. Prepare, coordinate, and deliver project controls presentations to internal management and to client, as required.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
9. Monitor execution of all project control activities on projects through review of project reports, contact with project team personnel and periodic audit visits. Identify current and potential problems and advise the Manager, Project Services on corrective action. &lt;br /&gt;

10. Assist in preparation and presentation of sales proposals to clients. &lt;br /&gt;

11. Coordinate with FLS personnel responsible for cost accounting and scheduling systems acquisition, development and maintenance to ensure that implementations of these systems are consistent with overall FLS policies and adequate licenses are in place for all outside software. &lt;br /&gt;

12. Participate in periodic project reviews providing cost/margin reports and schedule updates. &lt;br /&gt;

Duties: &lt;br /&gt;

Qualifications: &lt;br /&gt;

• Proficient in reading, understanding and interpreting specifications and drawings&lt;br /&gt;
• Experience with measuring tools - caliper, venires, micrometers, durometer, spark tester, mil thickness gage etc.&lt;br /&gt;
• Understanding of surface prep and coating systems. Including rubber and plastics&lt;br /&gt;
• Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice in all areas of quality review&lt;br /&gt;
