Technical Sales Engineer (greeNEWit)

Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

The main contact in the field for the Commercial Energy Solutions business line. They will act as a direct consultant to our commercial clients. He or she will be responsible for taking the lead in commercial energy audits, analyzing existing building systems, identifying opportunities for energy savings, and presenting the results to the client. Delivering strong presentations will enable the candidate to convert preliminary energy consultations into full upgrade projects. The candidate is also tasked with project managing those upgrade projects, overseeing crews, and creating final reports.

Technical building knowledge, strong sales arguments, and customer service skills are required. Utilizing various project management techniques this person will need to multitask with ease and support different clients at various stages in the process.

Duties:
Manage and lead the energy audit process for commercial buildings
Utilize project management techniques to guide the clients through various steps in the energy efficiency process
Through the use of various modeling software, convey the design and goals of the project to the client and supporting staff.
Manage a future support staff to align with the goals of the commercial business line.

The holder of this position will utilize subject-matter expertise to provide analysis of technical challenges and issues for sensors and technologies and integration tasks relevant to Department of Defense (DoD) missions and initiatives. The engineer shall develop solution concepts for operational problems involving systems that employ various sensor technologies and shall analyze new subsystem and system manifestations of existing sensor technologies to determine if they can solve existing and new operational requirements. This individual shall analyze the performance, compatibility, survivability, vulnerability, and reliability of various sensors under consideration for procurement or in development, production or operation in order to assess the potential suitability of the solution for an operational environment. The engineer shall interact with commercial vendors, US Government labs, and military units as required to facilitate these analyses.

Qualifications include a minimum of a BS in an engineering discipline or other relevant area with three years of experience.

Desired qualifications include an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in an engineering discipline with at least ten years of experience.

All applicants must have the ability to obtain and retain a DoD security clearance. Selection process will include passing a pre-employment background screening.
