Job Title: Software Development Engineer
Company: Amazon
Location: Seattle, WA

The Builder Tools team is currently looking for a seasoned software engineer who is interested in building highly usable and reliable tools to improve life and efficiency of the fellow engineers. This particular position is in the Quality Tools area and will be focused on building cloud-based "test execution as a service" system and an omniscient quality analytics platform.

We're looking for movers and shakers. Quality tooling field is full of half-solutions and misconceptions. We're looking for people who can shake things up and revolutionize this area of software engineering.

Test Execution as a Service aims at completely removing friction associated with setting up at test lab and executing test automation on event (such as new build) or on schedule. Our customers (other Amazon engineers) should be able to focus on writing good automation and we will take care of executing it reliably across devices, operating systems and browsers.

Quality analytics is a young area that attempts to assess software quality based on static analysis and data mining across various data sources.
Our systems must be reliable, scalable and have high usability. The entire Amazon's engineering force depends on them as part of their daily work. We are building these systems on top of the latest cloud-based technologies offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as Simple Workflow Service, DynamoDB, EC2, S3, EMR, to name a few.

We are a team with an open charter and a company-wide impact. This is an opportunity for a strong, experienced engineer with a passion for building reliable and scalable systems to positively affect the productivity of software engineers as well as business users across Amazon.

A successful candidate must have a strong sense of ownership and experience building highly available and reliable distributed systems.

Come on board and make a difference!
