Tramont Corporation seeks a highly motivated Noise Control/Acoustic Engineer to become part of our engineering team. &lt;br /&gt;
Noise Control/ Acoustic Engineer&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•This full-time position is for an individual with experience in noise control and design engineering, noise criteria, acoustics, attenuation, concepts, and skills in electrical generation with low and high voltage wiring.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•A minimum of five years of project management and design experience in a manufacturing environment is required. A background in electrical and mechanical systems is a plus.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•Primary responsibilities include R&amp;D of sound attenuation enclosures.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•Secondary responsibilities include mechanical and electrical projects for engine-generator accessories.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•Experience in a metal/sheet metal manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•Knowledge in CAD based software, Solid Edge, Solid Works or AutoCAD is preferred.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
•The ideal candidate is organized, detailed, and team-oriented, with excellent computer skills and the ability to work well with minimal supervision.&lt;br /&gt;

The Engineering Manager coordinates manufacturing and process engineering activities using cost-effective methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.   Will work with production to analyze and resolve paint quality issues. This position will recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls, research new technology and develop engineering expertise in others through direct supervision and coaching of Engineering team members.  The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing project costs, cost justification, implementation timelines and insuring return on investment is achieved.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Qualified candidates will possess a 4-year degree, preferably in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering, plus 5 or more years of applicable experience in a similar manufacturing environment.  Specific experience with liquid paint application and paint application equipment is highly desired.  Candidates should have previous leadership experience and a background in Lean, Kaizen and/or Six Sigma concepts.  This position requires strong communication (written and verbal) skills and experience with large project management in a team-based environment.  Environmental compliance management experience is a plus.&lt;br /&gt;
