General Description: Keller Technology Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of Special Machinery and Automation Systems, is seeking an Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer.
Primary Job Functions:
Good analytical and design skills, the ability to “think out of the box” for concept development
Perform mechanical design
Assist in developing equipment pricing
Assist with vendor evaluations
Perform debug of the automation equipment
Assist with installation at customer sites
Develop and execute customer presentations
Adherence to company policies and ISO Standards
Provide assistance in all departments as required by KTC management
SR. MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
The successful candidate would work in our engineering department assisting in custom machine design, estimating and proposal development, vendor evaluations, customer presentations, schedule / budget adherence, manufacturing support, equipment debug and installation support. Other requirements include the knowledge of machine components, geometric tolerances, pneumatics, machining/fabrication processes, 3D design in Solidworks and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, ANSYS and Excel.
The successful candidate must possess a BSME with 5 years applicable experience and a solid understanding of design, manufacture and analysis of automated machinery. Good communication skills are needed for conveying design specification, process details and control strategies to potential clients. Some travel required.
