The Test Engineer is responsible for safe operation of the Test Cell, and all technical aspects of the test lab instrumentation, software, data collection, accuracy and precision. This role will be responsible for the integrity of the data output and to maintain a high standard of excellence, driving the overall safety and quality of the test stand to meet or exceed Flowserve and Industry standards.
Determine safe operating parameters for testing pumps and the setup of test equipment and pumps
Provides technical advice and guidance on specifications and waivers and participates in MRB activities as required
Operate, maintain and improve facility's pump testing equipment including calibration and certification
Represents Flowserve during witnessed performance testing and managing the customer witnesses
Troubleshoots performance and mechanical pump failures
Supports other facilities by subcontracting site's test capabilities and managing those opportunities
Maintains metrics pertaining to pumps tested
Review, analyze, and certify test data meets customer specified HI test criteria
Review, maintain, and create test procedures for HI and ISO compliance
Create and implement rework routings for non-conforming pumps.
Manage and schedule production jobs, R&D jobs, and sample jobs to ensure competition by priority.
BS in Mechanical, Industrial or related engineering discipline
Experience working within a manufacturing environment
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems using basic hand and measurement tools
Proficient computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Office application
Experience with the manufacture and/or test of pumps
Experience using and editing LabVIEW code
Knowledge of Hydraulic Institute standards
Experience using AutoCAD or Solidworks
