As a Mechanical Engineer in the wire harness/cable design organization you should have knowledge of M-CAD and E-CAD tools and will support performance spec (PS) and Interface Control Drawing (ICD) interpretation including assembly, manufacturing drawings, part lists, cable design and engineering change. Support will also be provided to planning from a cost, technical and schedule perspective, conceptual design, trade studies, drawing generation and documentation release, and testing requirements. You will collaborate with other disciplines, such as Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to ensure program requirements are being met. Other various duties will include developing cabling and harness designs; investigating design factors such as equipment or part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, weight and cost; evaluating vendor designs; developing and maintaining all assembly and test documentation; and trouble shooting and correcting anomalies and discrepant hardware. You will also participate in failure investigation team and also provide support to both internal and external cable manufacture and fabrication. Available to work off shifts, weekends, and/or holidays, if required to maintain schedules.

- Experience in design and analysis of electrical and mechanical systems, including wire harness/cable design
- Experience using CAD/CAM drawing tools for modeling and capture of wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with Zuken E3 cable tools, or equivalent
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with equipment performance specs & wire drawing lists
- Experience with flight specifications including cable and harness design, COTS electronic equipment
- Experience with Pro-E/Creo and Pro-E/Creo Cabling and Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) release
- Experienced in wire harness design of electrical\\mechanical interconnects for satellite spacecraft equipment or missile systems.
- Experience using Zuken E3
- Excellent communication skills
