Among the technologies we are exploring are vacuum insulated glass, aerogels, optimized triple-panes, dynamic glass, and others. Technology developed and implemented from this team has the potential to significantly reduce energy usage of millions of homes across North America.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, testing, and evaluation of new insulating glass concepts.
- Work with channel partner companies coordinating joint-development efforts.
- Be an active part of the Cardinal technical audit team which focuses on quality improvements in all our operations.
- Provide technical support to Cardinal manufacturing plants.
- Provide technical support to Cardinal’s customers.
- Travel on an occasional basis to a channel partner company or a Cardinal facility.
- All team members are enrolled in Cardinal’s Bedrock leadership program for future career development.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics preferred.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- Commitment to safety and an orderly and safe workplace.
- Ability to work as part of a team, including all levels of coworkers.
- Time management skills with the ability to plan and track multiple projects over months.
- Ability to communicate complicated concepts and draft technical reports.
- Capable of and interested in hands-on testing.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
