What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be the expert in providing technical support to facilitate the execution of equipment maintenance strategies. You will be part of a dynamic team that drives the coordination and planning of major outages. Other duties will include:
Provide technical support to the Mechanical Maintenance Team
To complete small projects (<$1m) and to provide justified briefs to the Project Team for larger jobs.
Develop maintenance execution tools.
Initiate maintenance strategy improvement activities.
Participate in maintenance strategy improvement activities such as RCA.
Continuous improvement of processes, systems, and methodology.
Develop effective capital expenditure proposals to provide sustained improvement within the sphere of influence.
To act as the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent in their absence
Effective influence of internal customers and peers to deliver acceptable solutions to maintenance problems.
Recommend the implementation, assist in the development of maintenance and manufacturing strategies.
Interact closely with the Reliability Group at Nitrogen Site
Control and report project costs within the agreed budget.
What We’re Looking For:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred 2-5 years’ experience in a plant-based role (preferably in chemical manufacturing) but not essential.
High level of technical knowledge with an emphasis on sustainable and cost-effective maintenance solutions.
High level of computer skills
Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
