Responsible for reviewing primary documents against customer, quality, inspection and special gauge or tool requirements. Conducts internal and external non-conformance/corrective action investigations and follow-up. Participates in continuous process improvement efforts. Conducts internal audits and suggests improvements. Participates in customer or AS 9100 audits, performs trend analysis on product issues and corrective actions. Maintains quality manual & procedures to meet ISO/Customer requirements. May perform first article inspections and reports as needed.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical inspection, preferably in a job shop environment.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing highly preferred.
Familiarity with Quality Improvement Systems.
Familiar with root cause analysis.
Must be able to communicate effectively and diplomatically to reach consensus.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and assignments.
Must be highly safety conscious and work with safety as the number one priority.
