PTI is looking for a process engineer to join our engineering services department. The successful candidate will work with management to advance department capabilities, help plan and execute project workload, take technical lead and meet customer requirements. They will also gain good understanding of blow and injection machinery operation and troubleshooting and aim to become proficient in the set-up of different jobs. Our process engineer will interact directly with customers to establish project guidelines, offer technical guidance, understand and coordinate deliverables from other departments, analyze and report final data and ensure timely invoicing. Expected travel for this position is estimated at 25-40%.
Advance process development
Provide on-site technical support to customers and PTI global companies
Develop, configure, optimize processes from inception
Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
Work directly with team members and interact with customers to deliver quality results
Understand and coordinate deliverables from other departments, analyze and report final data and ensure timely invoicing
Assess processes, perform quality checks and interpret data
Develop best practices, routines and advanced solutions to improve quality of output
Manage cost and time constraints
Provide process documentation and operating instructions
Tool changes and machine set-ups
Be self-motivated and take initiative in developing and implementing key department initiatives
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field or proven work experience
Experience in plastics field and/or production environment preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly organized, detail oriented
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Reports to: VP, Engineering Services
