We have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated Mid-Level Scientist in our Anchorage, AK office. This is a high-level technical position, and the successful candidate must demonstrate significant experience serving as a senior technical and/or QA/QC resource on projects.
Planning, coordinating and executing of investigation and remedial projects at RCRA and CERCLA sites. Other responsibilities will include RI/FS, RA, engineering design, design/build, optimization, and O&M of both traditional and innovative soil and groundwater remedial technologies.
Will provide senior technical review and QA/QC support for site characterization and remediation projects
Responsible for regulatory coordination/technical negotiation
Will provide mentorship of mid and junior staff and proposal support
B.S. in Science, Engineering or related discipline (M.S. a plus) and 10 years of experience, experience authoring and reviewing work plans and technical reports
OSHA 40-hour training required
Experience managing and performing soil/groundwater environmental site investigations and data evaluations
Experience with field investigation activities include installation of soil borings and monitoring wells, collection of field samples (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, air)
Remediation pilot testing, construction oversight, operation and maintenance of remediation equipment
Must have experience with GIS, AutoCAD, MS, EQuIS
Must possess strong technical communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in environmental consulting.
