We are seeking a Full-Time BI Engineer to join our team at our growing corporate HQs in Indianapolis, IN as our next Employee-Owner. This is a Hybrid role, with remote flexibility, but some desired collaboration onsite.
BI Engineer | About You
As a BI Engineer, you are doing hands-to-keyboard development, building integrated reports and dashboards to visualize data to satisfy the needs across various lines of business. Skilled with at least one modern BI tool, you have a powerful desire to gain access to industry-leading platforms. You are comfortable operating in a tool-agnostic capacity, using your broad BI knowledge and core SQL skills to learn new tools with ease. You are interested in being surrounded by a team of best-in-class Data Consultants to build new skills and absorb hands-on training at every turn.
BI Engineer | Day-to-Day
Under the direction of a Solution Architect or Analytics Architect, you will develop technical solutions aligning with business objectives.
Design, develop and test databases, data warehouses, data lakes, queries and views, reports, and dashboards.
Merge BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
Hands to keyboard dashboard and report development.
BI Engineer | Skills & Experience
5 years of professional experience working in a technical role with progressive experience and skills working with data, and the last 2 years focused as a BI Engineer as your primary job function.
MSBI Stack including, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and some T-SQL.
Experienced tuning of SQL statements, Stored Procedures, SSIS, Power Query, and DAX.
Migrated data from multiple legacy systems to a modern reporting tool.
Skilled in deploying solutions using BI Development Best Practices.
A conceptual understanding of user-centric design techniques for building best-in-class dashboards, and the desire to grow knowledge around best practices.
Proficiency with at least one leading BI tools, such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview, or Alteryx, and ideally, you have worked on at least two tools.
Public or shareable work samples to showcase skills.
