What you will do
You will develop software tests according to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) with primary points of focus on planning, defining requirements, testing, and deployment.
You will take ownership of software test plans and drive execution of tests for Embedded Software in medical devices.
You will co-develop software solutions by conducting research to understand user needs, data usage, systems flow, work processes, problem areas and bug reporting, and driving good code practices.
You will provide engineering input to impact the design, coding and debugging of software in various coding languages including SOUP software.
You will perform software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysis
You will perform Software build, Maintenance, and change control. You will maintain software configuration management in Perforce.
You will be part of the project team focusing on Software Defect Management in all phases of development.
You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as electrical, mechanical and industrial design, to ensure that software will accomplish design goals for a product or system.
You will help guide New Product Development teams through our quality system to ensure software is developed in compliance to internal procedures as well as the requirements of the FDA, ISO, and other regulatory bodies
You will review and evaluate project tangibles for compliance as well as sound technical competence to ensure we are delivering robust products.
You will perform software risk analysis and develop risk control measures and test strategies to ensure safe and reliable products are launched to Stryker’s high quality standards.
You will lead and author code reviews leveraged for formal design verification.
What you need
Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related engineering field is required
2+ years of experience in software engineering required
Experience with C#, Python highly preferred
Regulated industry experience such as Medical, Aerospace, Defense, Communication is a plus.
