Herkules Equipment Corporation seeks a self-driven and highly motivated individual to join our sales team as the product expert throughout the sale process. The Sales Engineer will identify, qualify, and cultivate opportunities amongst prospective customers with material handling challenges and sell solutions to improve their business. The candidate must have strong new business acumen skills, effective communication in both verbal and written formats, attention to detail, and a motivation to drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Configure prospect directed application setups and workflows.
  • Conduct live demonstrations of the product to prospect users and senior executives.
  • Work closely with Herkules' Engineering Team to identify product enhancements and communicate commitment deliverables.
  • Must be able to work independently and drive sales. Sales will be a combination of repeat business and new sales.
  • Perform own investigation work to identify needs and convert new customers.
  • Responsible for the preparation, submission, and presentation of all quotation and technical presentation information per customer-specific requirements.
  • Manage and update sales forecasts and keep the CRM up to date with account and opportunity information.
  • Responsible for maintaining customer engagements to advance relationships and interact with the customers' top decision-makers to support sale quota.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to present solutions to all levels of a target customer, from the factory floor to engineering to senior management.
  • Ability to identify the prospect operating environment and adapt a demonstration in real-time to changing feedback.
  • Highly structured, organized, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to interact professionally at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate sales competencies for success and have experience in the areas of material handling and/or industrial sales.
  • Be successful in maintaining and expanding the existing customer base.
  • Proficient in data mining, intelligence gathering, and willing to travel.
  • Willingness to work necessary hours according to the goals to be met.

Qualifications

  • Hold a BS in Engineering with 3 to 5 five years of technical sales experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and PowerPoint
  • A valid driver's license
