This is an excellent opportunity for an associate engineer with 0-2 years of experience to join a growing international space component supplier.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Associate Engineer will support the hands on testing of engineering led PDEV (non-flight) activities
Support data interpretation and reduction jointly with the lead Project Engineer
Utilizing a top level test plan and customer specifications, the Associate Engineer will be responsible for supporting generation of well written test procedures (TVAC, vibration, electrical, etc.) for all phases of testing
Support inventory control and tracking
Generate reports for all phases of battery testing
Participate in investigations, resolutions, and product improvement meetings
Report directly to the Sr. Project Engineer
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, math, or physics (Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical or Power Engineering is preferred) or an associate’s degree with applicable experience
Above average Microsoft Word and Excel skills, Access and VBA Skills preferred
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work within a close knit team to strict deadlines
Space or Aerospace industry specific experience preferred
Knowledge of, or experience with lithium-ion batteries highly advantageous
Experience with SolidWorks and OrCAD preferred
Experience with electrical laboratory equipment strongly preferred
