The Supplier Quality Engineer identifies, communicates and trains suppliers at all levels of their supply chain including on processes to develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation control systems and protocols. The Quality Engineer analyzes supplier performance data, their proactive quality improvement plan and initiates action based on results to improve and correct product.
The Quality Engineer also provides analysis and guidance to ensure quality standards are in effect.
Responsible to ensure effective execution of a proactive quality improvement plan at assigned suppliers.
Execute baseline status of supplier’s proactive quality improvement plan, defines level of maturity and establishes gap closure plan.
Implements testing and inspection plans, methods and technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes.
Analyzes and makes recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities and design problems for internally produced products & processes.
Validate proactive quality improvement plan and its results based on objective evidence at the supplier’s operation.
Ensure incorporation of the quality improvement plan in required quality control actions.
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a US Person
Technical manufacturing and quality engineering experience
Industry recognized quality or project management education or experience
