Enterprise Information Security / Cyber Security Defense and Monitoring is looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer who will be responsible for serving as an expert in vulnerabilities, specializing in database vulnerability scanning. This position is a mixture of analyst and engineering roles with the primary responsibility of performing vulnerability scans on a variety of databases. The engineer will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and database-owner consultation to ensure scan results are accurate, timely, and properly convey any security risks discovered. In addition, the engineer will provide support for an enterprise-level vulnerability and policy compliance platform protecting a variety of systems.
3+ years of TCP/ IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) experience
1 + years of experience with Guardium
7+ years of information security applications and systems experience
Experience working in a large enterprise environment
Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner
Ability to identify key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to complex analytical questions
Knowledge and understanding of banking or financial services industry
Outstanding problem solving skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage complex issues and develop solutions
Advanced Information Security technical skills and understanding of information security practices and policies

Other Desired Qualifications
3+ years of experience with network security and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.)
1+ years of experience with database vulnerability scanning using Guardium VA or a comparable product
Understanding of advanced security concepts, architecture, operations, and tools
Extensive experience with enterprise vulnerability management and/or technical policy management and governance
Experience supporting various server, desktop, and mobile operating systems
Advanced data manipulation skills with MS Excel
Experience scripting and automating system administration tasks on a variety of platforms
Self-starter able to operate independently and within a group
Extensive experience with database management systems at either a developer or DBA level
Expert level knowledge of vulnerability scanning using Qualysguard
Proficient knowledge of querying databases using SQL
Experience using Tableau for analytics
Proficient working with system, network, and application vulnerability remediation and/or technical policy compliance
Proficient with architecting and securing enterprise infrastructure
Proficient knowledge of Unix, Linux, and MS Windows with system admin skills
Strong understanding of front-end, middleware, and backend applications
Experience administering an enterprise-level Qualysguard implementation
Expert troubleshooting skills for a variety of technologies with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
Advanced customer relationship and negotiation skills
