The CAD/Data Engineer is responsible for maintaining Daily production performance data, Data analysis of production equipment, CAD design of product, tooling, fixtures and manufacturing equipment/facilities at CCMi
This position mandates you to wear Personal Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats, & and that all jewelry will be removed while on production/manufacturing floor .
Daily, for short periods of time you could be working around extreme high temperatures (ranging from 1100 - 1350 ° F/ 270C).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Utilize product data management system to maintain CAD data for products, tooling, fixtures, manufacturing equipment and facilities
Work on continuous improvement of CAD product data management system
Provide product data management access and training to engineers
Produce 2D product, tooling and fixture drawings to support manufacturing, quality, and engineering activities
Transfer CAD data to and from suppliers and customers, and maintain records of all transfers. Import CAD data from suppliers and customers, and repair errors in models as required. Translate CAD data to neutral file formats as required
Support continuous improvement activities through effective use of 3D and 2D CAD
Manage and execute the alloy test plate orders for customers
Generate CAD and GD&T comparison report for engineering changes
Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
Coordinate activity regarding creation and maintenance of all drawings.
Model and edit complex parts parametrically.
Create assembly models and drawings to reflect proposed or approved engineering changes.
Update views/title blocks/revision columns and provide screen dumps for engineering docum ents.
Maintain product characteristics map for all casting products
Support product design release process in PDM system. Ensure current part data is available to entire plant
Understanding of casting tolerances, dimensional capability statistics and GD&T.
Preparation of daily production meeting presentation (e.g. data and downtime reason extraction, gathering information from other departments)
Weekly data gathering and analysis of overall plant performance (OEE, JPH etc.)
Support in development and maintaining regular reports for customer and internal reporting
Gathering and analysis of production data for Die Casting machines, Heat Treat machines, and machining lines to determine top issues used to prioritize improvement activities of the plant
Preparation and support in hosting internal meetings
Sparring partner for work package (WP) leaders e.g. by challenging root causes analysis of WP leads
Perform other duties as designated Knowledge

Product data management (PDM)
Proficient with 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (SolidWorks, NX and CATIA) software
Microsoft Office suite (Excel & Power point Advanced User skills) and MS Project
Work in a fast paced working environment
Data analysis experience
Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD design
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science - Mechanical/Industrial Engineering is recommended.
2-3 years related experience in the automotive manufacturing industry
Manufacturing & Data analysis background
