Are you ready to be at the fore front of the Big Fish Games pipeline? Are you energized by being involved in multiple game launches that all have the potential of going big? As a Lead Software Engineer - Game Success at Big Fish, you will lead a team that works closely with multiple game teams. Your job is to empower these teams to leverage the capabilities that big fish provides to maximize their potential to be the next big hit game!! Your team will be the initial contact point for game teams and serve as the guide in working with our shared service teams to maximize the potential for every game to be reach its maximum potential. You and your team will help game teams integrate Big Fish Games software, our internal SDK, and other sanctioned third-party SDKs.
Our partners, the game teams, will come to your team with questions and challenges. It is the your job to understand our products, navigate the challenges, and guide the teams to a successful solution. If you enjoy gaming and solving challenging technical problems this may very well be the right job for you. You must be excellent at technical troubleshooting, have good communication skills, know how when to escalate issues, and have the ability of architecting temporary work arounds to unblock a team while the long-term solution is being built.
Work with game teams, product teams, engineering teams, and supporting teams to define and refine the process to provide the best possible support to our game teams as they move through multiple stages of their life cycle.
Be a self-starter and personalize your approach to supporting game teams around the world.
Be agile to quickly understand differing game technology stacks and processes to help streamline the ability of game teams to integrate the SDK and software services Big Fish provides.
Become an expert of Big Fish Games products, services, and best practices to reduce time to market, drive adoption, and increase the likelihood of a game teams’ success.
Use your exceptional analytical problem solving to help game teams resolve issues.
Gather feedback from our game developer partners and help improve our process and documentation.
Be able to deal with ambiguity and think creatively to ensure the success of our partners.
Be able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical parties to ensure understanding of priorities, services, and goals.
Help train and mentor less experienced engineers to ensure they as part of the overall team can be successful and effective.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both spoken and written.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
Enjoy working with people and troubleshooting problems.
A passion and ability to understand complex technical systems and be able to navigate them.
8+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Game development experience.
Unity or other equivalent game engine experience.
Prior customer facing or support experience.
Experience integrating complex third-party SDKs.
Experience with complex API’s
Experience with mobile technologies
