Essential Job Functions
Develop and apply advanced control technologies to power plant applications
Collaborate with design engineers of various disciplines to surface control system requirements and write/develop validation tests for turbine application code using Java Script and IBM Jazz Tool Suite RQM
Lead projects with ultimate responsibility for quality and on-time deliverables
Support Controls Engineering in technical resolution of validation and testing functionality
Handle multiple projects / activities
Be accountable for on-time schedule performance, project milestones, and validation tests
Provide assistance with quality assurance on projects
Review and interpret controls requirements

Education, Training, and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
BS degree Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
Operational Knowledge of Power Plants
Ability to interpret functional requirements and translate into validation tests.
Ability to interpret P&ID/Electrical Schematics and experience with basic instrumentation.
Experience with GE Controls Products - Mark*V, Mark*VI, Mark*Vie is a plus
Experience with IBM Jazz Tool Suite (specifically RQM)
Experience in advanced MS Office skills.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
