Mars Wrigley Confectionery is looking for a Project Engineer to be based out of our Waco, TX site preferably (other possible sites to be based out of include Topeka, KS and Chicago, IL). The Project Engineer is responsible for the design and installation of projects. The Project Engineer is responsible for deploying his/her engineering know-how to successfully execute and deliver projects to the business that provide a competitive advantage.

High School Diploma required
5+ years of experience in an comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical or related industry preferable
5+ years of experience managing and leading engineering projects, with at least one project having exceeded $10M in size/scope.
Basic understanding of engineering principals - knowledge of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction, Computer Services
In-depth understanding of designated functional engineering area of expertise (for specific job requirement i.e. controls, process, packaging)
Demonstrated success providing structure to process of planning and executing large scale engineering projects
Prior success working on teams and being a key player/positive influence on the team, leading to achieving results
Good communication, listening and influencing skills
Critical thinking skills and ability to come up with innovative ideas
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional internal and external partners
Approximately 20-50% travel requirement depending on project demands
Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Degree in Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or MBA
10+ years of experience in an comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry preferable
5+ years of experience managing projects of at least $5M in size/scope.
