Responsibilities
Prospective candidate will provide direct engineering support to the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense Research and Engineering Prototyping and Experimentation Mission Directorate.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordinating, and execution of a large-scale multi-year demonstration and experimentation campaign to evaluate the operational utility of prototypes in a multi-domain environment.
- Support the development of a strategy and framework for identifying prototype mission capabilities into demonstration or experimentation venues to evaluate their operational utility.
- Produce concepts of operations, lessons learned, or technical reports to identify operational successes and capability gaps to maximize the campaign’s alignment to mitigate gaps.
- Build interest and engagement from Military Service to establish Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to facilitate the transition of prototyping capabilities into programs of record for sustainment.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline that is relevant to AI/Autonomous Systems or C3ISR
Minimum of 15 years of AI/Autonomous Systems and C3ISR experience. Experience must include system engineering experience in these areas: Chief System Engineer (CSE) or Deputy CSE for a $100M+ technology design, manufacturing, integration, and/or test program; working knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle, the “V-Model”; understanding of the Agile Development process; establishing a Risk Management process on a technology development program; experience in a leadership role on classified programs at the SCI level or above
Knowledge of the DoD Defense Acquisition System
Clearance Requirements:
Security Clearance: TS/SCI eligibility (current top secret (TS) clearance required)
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Desired Qualifications:
Military or OSD experience.
