Capgemini America, Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Programmer/Developer Lead based out of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work at various unanticipated locations. S/he will perform the following duties: create/modify/test the code, forms and script that allow computer applications to run; perform or direct revision, repair or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements; conduct trial runs to test applications/systems/software performance; debug/resolve problems and conduct performance improvement modifications; utilize programming languages/tools/frameworks to conduct IT development work for Capgemini clients and collaborate with team members to resolve IT issues related to debugging/validation work; perform requirements gathering/bug fixing/testing/documentation/implementation of software systems; design/analyze/review/re-design programs using workflow charts/diagrams; and analyze/interpret system architecture/design/coding work of team members to ensure adherence to programming/documentation policies.
This position requires a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, In Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering (any), or closely related field plus at least 2 years of experience in the job offered, as Software Engineer, Programmer, Application Developer, Systems Analyst, or in related IT position. The applicant must also have: any period of experience designing, coding, testing, and implementing customizations within the software environment; any period of experience developing reports, workflows and metrics within the software environment; any period of experience performing application development in a Distributed Delivery model; any period of experience conducting build and release work using computer technologies, such as Clearcase, SVN, Perforce, Jenkins, ClearQuest, Multitool, or Rational Purify; and any period of experience working with programming languages, such as Java, MS.Net, PL/SQL, ABAP, J2EE, Salesforce, Mulesoft, Tibco, Informatica, or Datastage.
