An ideal candidate will maintain Service Management Systems. Provides the highest levels of customer service. Responsible for preventative maintenance of medical equipment and repair. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the service management system database.
Responsible for accuracy of equipment inventory; including tagging of equipment, initial inspection, additions, and deletions.
Documents PM and repair service events and parts used at assigned completion rates and within assigned time frames.
Communicates to customer and supervisors service needs not included in the contract.
Completes and oversees assigned equipment preventative maintenance service and other equipment scheduled services by the manufacturer guidelines as well as the equipment management plan set forth by clinical engineering.
Coordinates vendors who are contracted to complete preventative maintenance and repairs of medical equipment.
Oversees vendor performance, monitors the quality of work, and assures that the vendor is complying with the original manufacturer guidelines, as well as equipment management plan set forth by clinical engineering.
Ensure that the vendor follows all applicable hospital standards and policies.
Assures that the hospital equipment plan and equipment management plan is followed and equipment is compliant with regulatory standards as governed by federal, state, and local agencies.
Using electromechanical training and standard equipment knowledge to carry out preventative maintenance in standardized situations utilizing written, oral or diagram instructions.
Demonstrates competency in repair techniques and the use of test equipment to perform daily activities.
Identifies areas to management for process improvement and standardization of equipment.
Perform Diagnostic Repairs & Troubleshooting using electronic mechanical training and standard equipment knowledge to carry out repairs in standardized situations utilizing written, oral, or diagram instructions.
Maintains communication with end-users from the preliminary findings, to update them on status through to following up after completion of the repair and Preventative maintenance.
Completes and oversees assigned PM and other scheduled services(such as installations, special projects, tagging of all included medical devices, dept. sweeps, incoming inspections, and additions & deletions) at assigned completion rates.
Develops PM proc Contacts vendors to complete contracted PM's, oversees vendor performance, and monitors completion per manufacturer specifications.
Assures equipment management plan is followed and equipment is compliant with regulatory standards.
Responsible for accuracy of equipment inventory: including initial tagging of equipment, initial inspection, equipment additions, equipment deletions, assuring accurate preventative maintenance schedule is reflected, promptly performing equipment transfers between departments, ensuring serial number and all other information on the equipment is accurate and up to date.
Documents all service events on each medical device in the service management system database to ensure that the history of preventative maintenance and repairs is accurate and under both the hospital management plan and equipment management plan set forth by clinical engineering.
Demonstrates the ability to run reports out of the service management system to include inventory reports, QA reports, preventative maintenance completion reports, stock on hand reports, open call reports, and any other standard report from the database.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate parts inventory in the service management systems; to include accurate selling off parts to the customer on a service call, performing goods in, promptly returning parts not needed, securing exchange parts to be returned, validating the parts inventory quarterly as well as a year-end physical inventory, follow proper protocol for securing parts to ensure no parts are lost.
Performing stock movements to transfer stock to other technicians.
Performs repairs of medical equipment and systems. Reports other repairs and requirements to a supervisor or contractor.
Demonstrates competencies on PM, repair techniques, and test equipment used to perform daily activities.
Communicates with customers regarding equipment status, proper operation of equipment, and charges.
Provides training as appropriate. Identifies areas for process improvement.

AA or Equivalent Program completion or comparable experience and training
