We're seeking a talented, high-performing individual to develop cloud-centric applications involving automation of geophysical remote-sensor data processing. The Innovation Engineer will work with a small and highly agile team of developers to build out a cloud platform that organizes data, extracts features, and presents results to users for editing and Q/C.
Responsible for design, software development, and validation of cloud-hosted software to enhance Fugro’s proprietary automated data analysis and feature extraction systems.
Assists the team in recommending, coding, and evaluating machine learning algorithms for feature recognition and mapping.
Provides support with test automation, debugging, profiling, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Gather, extract, and manage data for use in training and validating algorithms.
BS in Computer Science, or other applicable field; OR proven track record with 2+ years applicable experience.
Proficiency in C# and .NET software development.
Strong oral and written skills.
Effective ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
Capability of working in groups and independently; learning new technologies quickly; translating user needs into system requirements, and requirements into statements of work.
While primarily an office based position, the responsibilities may require occasional travel to client locations for in-field trials and deployment of new systems.
Experience programming and evaluating Deep Learning algorithms.
Proficiency developing in Microsoft Visual Studio.
Experience programming on Windows platform.
Experience working in Agile team environment.
Proficiency in Python, AWS or Git is a plus.
