WSP is currently seeking an exceptional candidate for a Junior Engineer for our downtown Montreal office.
This opportunity is available for a Civil engineer, or equivalent, having worked in key roles in the freight and/or public transportation industry. The candidate will be the technical lead of a project team of engineers, technicians and draft person and will show superior attributes of leadership, creativity and initiative.
Assist in the preparation of various technical specifications for track construction, including all aspects of track installation, such as the installation of rails, ballasts, soil compaction and stabilization, rail stress work, welding, drainage, railway crossing repairs and switch installation, as well as civil works.
Carried out the geometric design on Autocad Civil 3D, as well as the calculation of the quantities and the supervision of the production of plans and profiles for the construction.
Participate in the design of plans, specifications and details based on guidelines. Performs design calculations
May be occasionally called to travel or to make site visits.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, railway engineering or equivalent.
Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ).
0 to 2 years of experience in road engineering or railway design.
Relevant internships in a related field.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Focus on details with a focus on quality work products.
The ability to work in a team;
Excellent command of the French and English language both orally and in writing;
