Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. (CMT), is looking for a motivated, entry-level engineer. Water Resources projects are generally civil engineering related, including but not limited to water, wastewater, and storm water management, transportation engineering (such as highways, streets, rail and traffic) and aviation pavement and utility systems. As a civil engineer, responsibilities may include working closely with project engineers and project managers on a wide variety of civil engineering projects in a team environment with solid mentorship in the preparation of studies, reports, models and design plans and specifications. Capabilities in the use of design software and computer-aided drafting are essential to this position. Work tasks may also include report writing, field investigations, cost estimating, construction observation, attendance at client meetings and overnight travel to project sites.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental engineering with coursework emphasis in water or wastewater
Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office experience with exposure to computer-aided drafting software, such as AutoCAD or Microstation
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel and/or work in other CMT offices
Ability to work in the field as needed
Acceptable driving record
FE certification or the ability to quickly obtain certification in anticipation of PE certification
Previous internship, co-op, and/or professional experience; 0 to 4 years work experience in water resources preferred
Strong working knowledge of computer-aided design software
Course work in hydrology, hydraulics and water/wastewater treatment with strong emphasis in wastewater treatment design.
