POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Quality Auditor
Reports To: Quality Director
Classification: Non-Exempt
Status: Regular Full-Time
Location: Midland Battery Park, MI

Job Summary:
Quality Auditor is responsible for managing auditing compliance to quality system requirements and support of quality system implementation and compliance. The Quality Auditor focuses on the day-to-day inspection activities in a safe and optimal manner.

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain and support a process/quality audit system in order to identify and work to correct quality deviations or defects.
Communicate with Area Supervision/Production Technicians when defects are found.
Monitor quality of in-process as well as final production materials and enter findings into reporting system.
Oversees all facets of quality plan implementation: sampling, testing, calibration, reporting, data analysis, reaction plans, process control communication, supplier communication, material disposition, training and personnel.
Ensure compliance to and maintenance of all work instructions, forms, records, for manufacturing process (sampling, calibration, testing, reporting, etc.)
Works with Area Supervision, Quality, and Engineering as needed to support the process control plan.
Maintains a safe workplace and workforce while accomplishing responsibilities.
Collects data on process performance and has input to improve safety and quality.
Identify opportunities to drive process/quality improvement

Position Qualifications:
1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have manufacturing, inspection, and/or auditing experience
Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office software (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook)
Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends as needed to support production requirements.
Work independently, multitask, and be motivated to produce results
Strong background in quality and parts manufacture/assembly
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with broad range of people
Minimum high school diploma or GED certificate
Experience in ISO-9001 requirements preferred
