BAI, Inc. is currently hiring for a Science and Technology Engineer/Scientist to join our team in the DC Metro area.
This position will Provide the Office of Naval Research’s (ONR) Mission Capable, Persistent and Survivable Naval Platforms Department (ONR 33) technical, engineering, analytical, and program management support services for a variety of naval technology programs including Advanced Naval Power Systems, Sea Platform Survivability, Sea Platform Performance, Columbia Class and SSN(X) Submarine S&T, Platform Logistical Support, Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs), Autonomy and Control, Naval Engineering, Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM), Advanced Naval Materials and Manufacturing Research, Undersea Weapons and demonstrations of Advanced Technology Programs, support of international technical exchange, Project Agreements (PA) efforts and overall technical and programmatic support.
Experience in technical program management of programs
Experience in executing and reviewing technical studies, analysis, and design activities
Current Active Secret Clearance
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with government, military, academic technical experts, and senior-level government and military personnel
Experience collaborating with senior OPNAV staff; Naval, Air, Sea and USMC Systems Commands; Warfare Centers, DoD Secretariat, and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) personnel
Knowledge of ONR S&T policies and business practices
Experience with Navy RDT&E program/budget exhibits & Navy RDT&E strategic plans
Experience with Navy ERP and Navy financial management systems
A Master’s degree from an accredited university in a technical* or business field and five (5) years of relevant experience in a technical field
or A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a technical* or business field and ten (10) years of relevant experience in a technical field

Mechanical Engineering (sub-disciplines of Acoustical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Power Plant Engineering, Energy Engineering), Electrical Engineering (sub-disciplines of Electronic Engineering and Power Engineering), Naval Architecture and Naval Engineering, Material Science and Engineering
