Enterprise Candidates is focused on enabling Indeed’s enterprise customers to hire great talent efficiently at scale. To do so, we are reengineering a product suite from the ground up with that new customer base in mind, while building infrastructure that powers a seamless experience at scale and integrates with other Indeed products.
On the Guided Discovery team within Enterprise Candidates, you will be creating an innovative new approach to managing large numbers of candidates, building a new backend to power a modern frontend. Based on years of behavioral science and economics research, our team has developed an approach that customers love.
Once the groundwork has been laid, this team will be making fast iterative tests in order to move the product as a whole to a state that is more friendly to larger customers.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, understand, and address common business needs. Ask the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ before the ‘how’.
Design and develop simple, sustainable solutions to complex problems.
Check for ways to reuse existing Indeed technologies before rolling your own.
Who You Are
You are eager to solve business problems by applying engineering judgement and creative thinking rather than take orders and write code to spec. You respond positively to feedback and freely offer it to your peers in code reviews, design reviews, whiteboard sessions, and general meetings. You value robust unit and integration tests and recognize their increased importance in a CI/CD environment. You collaborate well with others, across disciplines, and beyond your immediate team.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar major (or equivalent industry experience)
Previous exposure to Java
General knowledge of AWS and running applications in the cloud is a plus

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
