Join Ecolab in this new Materials, Process, & Delivery (MPD) Process Engineer role where your main focus will be to support and improve the development of manufacturing Platforms. The goal of MPD is to drive sales and savings through platform and workflow standards. We seek a Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineer. The Process Engineer must have a strong sense of ownership and the ability to plan, organize, and conduct experimental work that supports data driven decisions and has the communication skills needed to work effectively with personnel across MPD, RD&E (Research, Development, & Engineering) and Global Supply Chain.

Enjoy working directly with MPD Platform Owners and the North American Regional MPD lead to conduct platform design & validation work and to prove technology prior to transferring into Global Supply Chain (GSC) plants. In addition to the new platform work, the Process Engineer will also support optimization of currently installed platforms at the Eagan Pilot Plant and/or Global Supply Chain plants.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interview for and transfer to other engineering or project-related Supply Chain roles to gain the experience necessary for career advancement.
Location Information: The Process Engineer will work at Ecolab’s Chemical Pilot Plant: 940 Lone Oak Rd., Eagan, MN 55121. The Process Engineer will work during days with some involvement on projects during the off shift hours and travel to Global Supply Chain facilities for additional data collection and/or platform validation. The position reports directly to Director Materials Process & Delivery with a dotted line to our Pilot Plant Manager.
Conduct experiments that validate platform standards and establish baseline for process KPI’s, primarily supporting the Institutional Division
Contribute and conduct the design and engineering of a wide variety of processing, filling, packaging and material handling equipment
Establish and maintain process capability metrics to ensure safety, quality, cost, and platform productivity standards are maintained / exceeded
Manage third party engineering and contractors in support of projects
Capture work and maintain updates to Platform Blue Book Process Standards
Assist in transferring technology to Global Supply Chain
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
3+ years engineering experience in a chemical, food & beverage, consumer products or related manufacturing industry

Advanced technical degree
5 years project and process management leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
4+ years engineering experience in a chemical, food & beverage, consumer products or related manufacturing industry
Experience in product development or process development
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification
Experience in conducting FMEA, PHA, PSSR
Hands on statistical analysis experience
Effective oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Demonstrated leadership skills
